I have always liked motorsports, but I only have so much free time so I devoted my interests to NASCAR because: NASCAR drivers don't go on strike for more money during the season unlike the "ball" sports. NASCAR is a family sport, you can go to a track and camp out for a week prior to the race with other fans. NASCAR drivers will gladly give their autograph free and they'll hang around longer than the appointed time aloted for their appearance unlike the "ball" sports players. You can go to their race shops and look for free. NASCAR drivers appreciate their fans and show it. NASCAR drivers rarely get involved with drugs, gangs, and other bad examples of behavior for people in the public eye. NASCAR teams and drivers are family oriented and generally a religous, charitable group. There many other reasons but do I need to go on?

I wouldn't say I'm a huge Nascar fan. For instance I couldn't watch a whole race on television. However I do think the experience of actually going to a Nascar race is un-matched with any other sport.
Also I've recently been getting into Nascar because of the video game. Which by the way is AWESOME!!!

having driven 2 NASCAR cars I can tell you that it is a thrill
The people are very approachable and open. Some of them obviously get mobbed, and cannot spend all their time with the public, but they all try.
Secondly the competition between Ford, Chev, and Dodge is a classic. Toyota does not even count since they can hardly even qualify a car
Finally the danger and the ability to cheer for your favorite driver is great. If you look at IRL you have no idea who 80 % of these people really are. all the hype about Danica who has never won and IRL race is nauseating, and NASCAR remains fresh and vibrant

I'm a fan because I love cars, powerful motors and competition. Live, I love the smell of fuel, the cheer from the crowd and the noise of 43 cars passing by you at almost 200MPH, this sound is constantly in my head. Although I never want to see anyone hurt, I love wrecks, but it doesnt bother me and I dont consider races that there are no wrecks boring. From Home, it's a group getting together and yelling at the TV like we were at the track, or calling up my dad to discuss something that just happened on the track (which we do all the time, my dad is my ultimate NA$CAR buddy).
How friendly in reality fans are to one an other, everytime I go to Lowes and I'm walking through the parking areas to find the party, I'll have on my Dale Sr and Jr gear but I party with everyone, some of the best times was just me and some of my buddies that happen to be Gordon or Stewart Fans partying with Kurt Busch or JJ fans. It's great because where else can you go, get 120,000 plus fans together, and party with no issues at all (there are exceptions of course), but I never seem to find them.
I get into all kinds of racing, from monster trucks to tractor pulls to lawn mower racing. It doesnt matter, I just love racing. I may not follow some more than others, but all left turns or straight lines is the way to go.

One word "PASSION",not just the drivers and their crews but also the fans.Look at how we all disagree (respectfully, sometimes even) about our drivers and teams.A nascar fan will defend their driver even when we know they were wrong and hate on your driver when we feel weve been wronged. We have access to the drivers not found in any other sport, we know almost everyting there is to know about the racers.(sometimes more then I want to),But I digress,Nascar simply is the most fan friendly sporting event there is.Besides everytime they show me the Victory Junction Camp or another charity that drivers support I'm glad to support Nascar.

I've been a fan since 1960.I have my favorite driver butI like to watch 43 cars battle for position, the speed, and action.
I don't have to drink to enjoy the race but I sure love to see good action and close racing.

I love the drama that comes with each race. Every week everybody has the same chance to win the race. With other sports you can usually pick who is going to win before each game. The drivers are really nice guys too and they appreciate their fans. They will go to appearances and really try to give back to the people who made them what they are. Also seeing an accident at 200 mph is very cool and the cars are very loud.

Because road races (even Nascars) suck, and the teams for the most part are American and I don't have to continusly figure out who is driving what chassis/motor and try to pronounce they're last names. Plus Nascar is just more exciting. It dominates all other racing in America, not opinion it's a fact.

It drives me wild when your sitting near the restart line and they all mash it and you can feel the vibrations, adrenaline. And the personalities of the drivers and fans. Besides what girl doesn't like a guy who drives fast cars and wins!!!

I have been a race fan since childhood I can no longer attend the races due to my health but it doesn;t stop me from loving it. I am sorry to say I love to see a good wreak, as long as no one is badly hurt. Although there are some I won't lose any sleep over.
