That was a good question. It's something that traditional Christianity has no good answer for, being made uncomfortable by their scriptural exegesis and traditions.

What I would say is that the only people going to be counted as God's people are those who trust God through Jesus Christ. All sin or percieved sins are discounted by God as they are covered by the sacrifice of Jesus. That's why were are to live trusting him. He said that we are all sinners, and there are none who can enter in without the covering that Jesus provided. Even those who think that they do no wrong.

I am not sure if there is any verse that deals with this issue in Christianity...

but I do know that Islam has several verses that deal with this problem. Hermaphrodites in Islam are called ( i believe ) Kunsar Mushkhir, in the hierarchy of prayers in a mosque: The Men pray in front, the Boys next, the women and girls, then the kunsar. ( or was it Kunsar then the Women folk... please correct my error if I am mistaken )

A Haji on a islamic talk show I watched on satelite said, that Kunsars ( or their parents ) are given a gift from Allah, to live as they choose, whether male or female but a choice has to be made at some point in time in order not to trangress certain rules of modesty that are set up for the Muslimin and Musliman community.

I am not a Muslim, so I hope a learned Muslim will be able to shed some further light on this. Or a Christian can find in the Bible supportive verses that deal with this issue.

darn, sounds screwed to me.

But in all seriousness that is a great question it really makes you think about he nature of G-d and religion and free will and all that good stuff.

I am sure no religious person will claim that a hermaphrodite is going to hell but they will be hard pressed to explain why.
