Threading (D) is the best answer (even though a tap you mention is the tool used to make the part that mates with the hollow spiral mating surface).

The lathe which is used for metal turning could be setup to cut that spiral pattern on a workpiece by adjusting how far a V-shaped cutting tool moves on each revolution. But that just means it is setup for threading so that goes back to D, the threading.

D. Threading would be my guess, altho using a tap is actually called tapping.

forging is creating a metal mold of sometihng. annealing is heating to change the property of a metal. turning, i dont know what they are asking for on that so threading sounds right to me

turning is done on a lathe- the lathe is a motor that spins something (like a shaft or a post)

forging in its broadest sense is simply shaping something

annealing is the process of heating and cooling (a metal) to increase its brittleness and strength

so it must be D

D
Tapping is threading an internal thread.
A die is used for external threads.

"Threading" seems like the obvious answer.
