i believe people are born gay, so if the gay person remained celebate, would he/she qualify for heaven even though in their heart they're gay?

what if they had sex with a person of the opposite gender? wouldn't they be living a lie (sinning) and not get into heaven?

i'm not chrsitian, so no, i don't believe in god or heaven, but i am curious as to the answers

I believe they can get into heaven even if they do have gay sex. I don't believe it's wrong if it's done in mutual love and consent. But even if it was, God is understanding of their strong passions, and would be forgiving.

But from a more biblical viewpoint (I'm not a Christian either), I'd say that as long as they either remained celibate, or only had sex with a married opposite gender, they'd get into heaven, and would in fact be rewarded for their strength to not give in to their passions due to their convictions. I think it is better for a gay person who believes gay sex is wrong to remain celibate, than to marry someone of the opposite gender - because they are not able to give that person all that they deserve I think. If they cannot truly fall in love with them, I think they shouldn't marry them.

But if they were living in some day and age where you had to get married, then God would overlook that.

Even if you could define it as living a lie, which would be a sin, it still would not bar them from heaven according to the Bible, as long as they repented and accepted the death and resurrection of Christ. All people sin even after accepting Christ, so I don't see why a gay person would be singled out as the one who couldn't receive forgiveness for their sins after that.

Do you understand why God does not show Himself and just be done with all this? Why not make Himself clearly seen and known so that all can believe? Its because the Plan of God does not call for people to be on their best behavior, which is what would happen if God were to show Himself. In fact, He wants all souls to show their true colors. Forget trying to con God - He can read the heart. If a person is simply "behaving" a certain way without believing in Christ and without sincere repentance, they are wasting their time. Repentance means being truly sorry for a thing and then following through by not continuing in it (we all fall short, of course). Putting on a show for people or for God will do nothing at all for you. If you stop doing gay acts but do not see what was wrong with it in the first place then you are not truly repenting of anything - you are just pretending to be. Sorry, that won't fly.

Don't confuse the sin with the sinner. God hates the sin and loves the sinner. The gay act is a sin, not the gay person. He wants the sinner to repent from their sinful acts.

If they abstained from gay sex (including books, magazines, films, etc.) then they did not commit this sin. Dwelling on a sin in your mind is just as sinfull. Such as harboring hatred for someone is a sin even if you don't act on the hatred. So you will be judged for your thoughts as well as your actions.

The hetro sex is only a sin when not within marrage or when done purely for self-gratification. So long as the hetro sex is is between a married, consenting couple for their mutual love and is open to producing new life it is not a sin. When you get into forcing the partner, masterbation, birth control, etc., then you get into sin.

God made a lot of good things. That doesn't mean that a good thing can't be used in an evil way. So the argument that, "God made it so it must be good" doesn't fly.

As someone stated earlier, only God will be the judge and what we say doesn't matter a hill of beans. We can only remind each other (including ourselves) of what He has told us through His Word.

I honestly believe that most Christians are more concerned about homosexuality than God is. They will tell you that to live a homosexual lifestyle, you would be an unrepentant sinner and you wouldn't make it into Heaven.

Even though I'm not gay, I still sin everyday. I probably commit the same sins over and over every single day, and I probably don't realize that I'm doing them. Every night before I go to sleep, I tell God that I'm sorry for anything I've done to offend him that day and to help me do better tomorrow. But I still sin everyday. Does this make me an unrepentant sinner? If it does, then every other Christian on the planet is an unrepentant sinner as well, and nobody's getting into Heaven.

No, this just makes me an imperfect sinner who has been saved by the blood of Jesus. The same goes for anyone ... even practicing homosexuals. If we could live perfectly on our own, even with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, there would be no need for Jesus's sacrifice. More Christians need to realize this. We are saved by grace through faith ... not by our actions.

Most will say that it is not a sin to be gay...just to to commit the sexual act...like it is not a sin to be attracted to another person...but, it is to commit adultery.

I am gay...but, I am also a Christian...and I can tell you with all certainty, that when I die, there is no doubt that I will go to heaven....

Many are hung up about gays for some reason...I assume it is because they are tempted by it and do not know how to deal with those temptations...so they strike out.

But, remember, God is the only ultimate authority on scripture or on someones heart...and for people here to condemn someone to hell...by pretending to know their heart...is for them to be pretending to be God...and is blasphemy

Ejaculation can be considered premature when it occurs 30 seconds to 4 minutes into sex, depending on different cultures, countries and experts. Behavioural techniques can help you delay orgasm. Learn here https://tr.im/5mMNb
These include the start-and-stop method and the squeeze technique. A combination of these techniques along with sexual counselling and medication (either using an anaesthetic cream or an oral tablet) is recommended.

any sin confessed and repented of is saved through the shed blood of Christ- not just homosexuality. If you do not believe in heaven, why would you care? If I did not like a certain food, I would not ask you how to prepare it. This is simplistic I know, but....... Let us start looking at ourselves before we worry about someone else's stand before God.

Christians say that a celibate homosexual can "Enter The Kingdom".....

of course if he or she qualifies on all the other rules as well.

Hence, a homosexual, according to Christianity is condemned to a life of celibacy.

I was born gay. I won't remain celibate, and that's why I do not concur with Christian beliefs.

I simply don't believe that any "God' worthy of the name would punish people for exploring the sexuality with which He (on the theory) endowed them.

The "God" Who is obsessed with people's sex lives is a reflection on the petty bigots who invented Him.

My favorite is when "Christians" accept that some people are born gay - because the idea that it's a "choice" is just ridiculous (who would make the "choice" unless he had the tendency?) - but insist that gay people have to remain celibate all their lives in order to get into God's Clubhouse when they die. Well, go screw yourselves. If YOU think gay sex is an abomination to God, then YOU can abstain from gay sex, and leave me the hell alone, because I'm gay and I'm not going to slink through life denying my own nature just to comply with your Bronze Age hang-ups. (But everybody knows that the notion that homosexuality is an "abomination" is primarily the prerogative of people who are afraid of their own homosexual tendencies - kudos to Ted Haggard for providing the latest illustration of this fact.)

P.S. - And once again I invite everybody to join me in reporting "C R" for pasting in this obnoxious off-topic propaganda rag in lieu of actually attempting to answer this question. Apparently he just cruises these boards looking for the word "gay" so that he can squirt his slime all over the discussion.
