I get headaches alot just because of stress or alergies, but lately, they've been accompanied by dizziness. Is this normal? I mean, I'm dizzy for almost a minute, and it goes away for a bit. Normal headache thing, or a brain tumor?

I have Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) does that have anything to do with it? I know that if I don't eat, I get dizzy w/ headaches and stuff, but sometimes it happens when I have already eaten... not often, though.

Get your blood pressure checked. That dizziness is one of the few signs of high blood pressure, obviously not a good thing.

You can get a free BP check in a lot of chain drugstores. If OK you have eliminated one possible cause of those headaches. If not you will have info to see a doctor.

Dizziness can occur when allergies cause swelling or inflammation in the inner ear canal. If the dizziness seems to occur only when you are also experiencing other allergy problems, then its not something to worry about.

Sometimes it takes three things to stop the headaches and dizziness: an antihistamine, a decongestant, and expectorant . Examples of each are claritin, sudafed, and mucinex.

Headaches can be caused by minor problems
like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more serious reasons
like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can
have harmful side effects, so it is better to
modify your lifestyle. More information available at

My friends cousin had that same reaction so she went to the doctor and it turned out she had a tumor in her head about the size of two pennies put together today shes going to get surgery.....I suggest you go to the doctor...It doesn't necessarily mean that you hava a tumor but if you wait to long it might hurt you.....Best of luck.... i_love_spring
