Fish I believe that most people that don't believe in God can't comprehend that they are one in the same i think that the concept to the is too deep for them to understand.
My real point is that no regular man would willingly die the death that Jesus did.

Punch,
Here are some facts about the historical life of Jesus.
Will you be remembered 1000's of years from now too many people wrote about Jesus for Him not to have existed. Will they be writing about you?
most of us will not be remembered will anyone believe that you existed?

I believe there may have been a Jesus. He may have been a good man. That's as far as I take. If there are "history: books with Jesus it's because they took it from the bible. Tho I have yet to see any. Also your little video said nothing about history books so I'm still waiting on evidence for that.
Outside of the bible who wrote about him? Besides, I didn't all out say no. It least I said there was a possibility.

I was pretty sure that Jesus was supposed to be the son of God... But that aside, I think more people believe in God than in Jesus. The whole immaculate conception thing screams of Greek mythology with the god turning into an animal and raping some woman.
To me though, the most bothersome thing is, how would it feel for a woman to lose her virginity (have her hymen pierced) by a baby's head coming out, rather than by something from the other side? Can you imagine what that would feel like? Or if it would even be possible without insane blood loss?
Whenever I try to imagine it I get shivers. Either Mary was a virgin or she was not. If she wasn't, then the Virgin Mary is a figment of imagination. On the other hand if she is a virgin, then I want to know how she was able to give birth like that. Until I see a woman who gives birth while she still hasn't had her hymen broken, I don't think I can believe in Jesus the way he's supposed to be.

Firstly I don't know why I am bothering with this as you seem you get your history from Youtube, but whatever.
There are no historical records of someone called jesus christ in existence. Mainly due to the fact that barely any writing of any kind about anything has survived the millennia that have passed since he is assumed to have lived.
The only scraps that can be accurately dated are bits of the Dead Sea Scrolls, and even though they are dated to jesus time frame, not a word about him is in there.
The fact than someone wrote about him 500, or a thousand years after he supposedly died, does not make his existence an historical fact.
The Roman Catholic church is the reason that we still talk about jesus now. They are the ones that created and built up the myth and wrote and/or edited almost the entire New Testament.
If anyone needs to check their facts it is you dear.

I believe in G-d, I believe that Jesus walked the earth some 2000 years ago. I do not believe that G-d and Jesus are one in the same.

Whether or not a man by the name of Jesus actually existed is not a point that is relevant to my atheism. If he did,he was a man,not God
How can I believe in Jesus and not God?Just as I believe there was a man ,St. Nicholas, who actually existed, but I do not believe in Santa Claus, the myth that arose from the tale of a real person

It doesn't matter to me whether or not a person named Jesus lived approximately 2000 years ago. His existence doesn't prove that God exists, only that a man named Jesus existed.
