without enemy noticing the withdrawal is in progress? I mean, withdrawing US troops from iraq is going to surge the pressure against remaining fielded forces. What is the highest achievable speed of such a withdrawal? May it follow the speed of invasion? I guess no, cause the units are stretched over a wide area..
How would you protect your forces duringr such a withdrawal? do you think Iraqi home armed forces will stand the surge of attacks to protect US troops withdrawal?

as far as I remember, the invasion of Iraq was done amphibious against Basrah or somewhere there. It is obvious someone has to stay there to the end to cover others' as*holes and departing aircraft. the problem is there are no known enemy strongholds, but disguised enemy in civil clothes. you'd have to bomb the whole perimeter..
