It is indeed true that God cares for us, he loves us more than anything in this world. But who is that God? Is He someone apart from us living up in the sky sitting on a throne and watching us? We need to first understand who God is. And who told you that God punishes us? God doesn't punish anybody. He is like a child ever ready to forgive our worst crimes and sins. It is only we who forget him and take the wrong path, and suffer the consequences. And whatever the consequences are, they are all restricted only to maya, the illusory world.
God doesn't judge anybody. He is everything, yet nothing. He lives in each and every particle, atom, molecule, proton neutron. But still, he remains only in bliss. He is sat chit ananda. Ever existent, ever conscious, ever new bliss. He doesn't judge our actions and say, this person is good and that person is bad. So I disagree your statement which says HE gets angry and punishes us. The nature of God itself is Brahman which is nothing but constant bliss. When the nature itself is "THAT" how can it ever react? That Bliss is above all feelings and judgements and thoughts. It is a thoughtles state. The state of God is, beyond love, and all other feelings. It's only Ananda. Bliss. Know that you are "THAT", then you would know that God doesn't do anything. He Just Is. The outward manifestation in this universe and all other universes is just a dream, an illusion. God doesn't take part in it. He just silently watches it. The is spirit just is. That is Brahman.

Unconditional love is the purest form of energy, also called god. God is full of love - unconditional love. This form of god worshiped as Shiva by the Hindus of India.
The unconditional love of god does not punish. This (showing unconditional Love to all) is also the easiest way to reach god (this was preached & practiced by Lord Jesus) because that is god's quality. A person who showers unconditional love cannot be angry. Was Jesus ever angry with Romans or Jews?
If punishing or getting angry on certain behavior is required, it means putting some condition to how his children should behave and so no more unconditional love, which means he is not god.
Then why is that he gets angry???
1st we have to become calm and clear to understand this.
What do we do as a human being if something goes wrong?
Some blame others. Some time when the other person(s) hear of the blame it becomes even more complex. ;)
Some blame themselves. This creates psychological complexities over period of time.
Some blame god. Surely god will not come and scold us - isn't it a great idea which has no side effects or complexities.
It is a pure psychological to blame god.
Lets understand what do we mean by he gets angry?
Hmmm... some thing goes wrong for us. Right??
If some thing goes wrong for us does not mean that god is angry.
Then why does things go wrong?
I guess we are all aware of a concept called the Soul agenda.
We are born here for and with a purpose and that purpose is called the Soul agenda, i.e., the agenda of the soul. Some times it is a collective agenda for various supporting souls.
God is so unconditional that he gives free will to every body at every stage even we were soul. We wanted to learn some thing we wanted to experience some things, and so on. All these wants are finalized and planned as an agenda by us and not by GOD - as he gave us free will because of his unconditional love to us. With this agenda we have come to experience in this birth along with a promise to realize god and come back to him.
Once we enter this world we succumb to the worldly pleasures and forget the past and start blaming god. Maya is the term given by the Hindus for the seduction of the worldly energies to forget our promises to god and the soul agenda.
One have to join as a disciple to a Guru (spiritual guide and teacher) to understand all the secrets and get all doubts cleared. May you get a great guru who makes you realize your soul agenda.
May all live in peace.

God does not get angry at us. He never punishes us. Here is the thing: He established laws in the universe. When we go against these laws then we brake ourselves and it looks like punishment. Imagine a huge engine with "wheels and chains", it works well and it works billion years and all of a sudden some human kinds go against direction of those wheels rotation... What do you think may happen? It'll crush a human as a straw. Therefore, God loves us but He respects His laws once He established. He is not to change His laws just for satisfaction of some human beings.

God is our loving father and we are his children ,this is an eternal & universal fact which anybody will agree. Now we were with Him in the spiritual world but somehow became envious of HIm and want to be like God ourselves so he sends us down to this material world but being very kind still guides us as paramatama or supersoul and speaks to us or warns us before we commit our actions in this world but due to ignorance and the desire to enjoy like God in this world we start lording over this material nature and claim proprietor-ship and due to this attitude we start doing the wrong things against the laws of material nature ie. meat -eating (amount to taking some animals life to satisfy our senses), intoxication, illicit sex and gambling these are against the material laws and material nature punishes us for breaking these laws and this punishment should be taken in a positive manner for our own good just like the a judge sentences a thief to jail as punishment so that he reforms himself and stops stealing again similarly God also does the same to us to reform us and stop us from commiting an act against material laws but for a devotee who has understood the love of God follows all laws willingly with the understanding that everything in this material world belongs to Him so a devotee is very alert not to kill even an ant what to speak about harming some other living entity

I haven't read your profile so I dont' know if you have kids or not but...don't you love your children so very much that you would die for them? Don't you get angry with them and punish them when they do wrong? Same thing. We are God's children so when we do wrong He punishes us. He punishes us BECAUSE He loves us so much and wants us to do right.

FRIEND
the definition of God ;OMNIPRESENT,OMNIPOTENT and OMNISCIENT.
HE IS THE EMBODIMENT OF LOVE,MERCY.FORGIVENESS .
He loves sinners and the pious people equally.as Sun shines equally on all spots good or bad, God loves all Good or Bad.
It is we ourselves that make ourselves good or bad.
we are the sole reason ,only reason for our state.
So do not blame God.He always guides, every moment. If you can hear HIM and act accordingly you will never repent. But you neglect His advise and act. Then you blame Him if some thing bad happens.
So God punishes none. You are the person punishing yourself.Analyse and you will understand this. Most people blame HIM unnecessarily.
He is with you ALWAYS..guiding you, helping you.Just listen to Him
God is Blessing you always.

Every parent can understand this. I LOVE my son in yet when he does wrong, or does something that could potentially harm himself, I get angry and punish him. It is not because I don't still love him, it's because I love him.
I want him to be safe and learn to be respectful of myself and other authority figures in his life.

God is THE HEAVENLY FATHER- He loves us as His children- yet He can get angry and discipline us- earthly fathers do that, so why shouldn't the ONE who is Holy do that for His children. Discipline by our Heavenly Father is true and can be used to draw us closer if we let that happen. It is our choice if we become bitter at God for that- I chose to allow the discipline, because He knows what is best for us, far more than even our earthly fathers do. But remember, His anger lasts any a moment. He is a merciful God who cares for His Children

I DONT Understand this coz i've been thru hell and i prayed like a mad person but God didnt listen to me...i think he had other plans for me..he wants us to suffer for our misdeed and we r not even aware of the crime committed by us..they say its karma...
ppl say God is our heavenly father but tell me do our parents almost kill us with pain and grief? No they dont if God does dat then he must be really hard hearted...
i have also been advised dat the suffering is not a punishment, but a molding of your mentality towards becoming compassionate and loving and if grief shakes us then we should shake it bak and come out as a winner...Good luck.
