Take a video and contact the city by laws office, they should have ordinance that requires owners to poop and scoop, and report, handing them over the video as proof, that way the numbskull owner will be visited by a by-law enforcement officer, one of the first they will ask to see is the dog licence if they don't have that, oops they get hit with a fine for having an unlicenced dog and they then get issued a fine for not pooping and scooping. After getting hit with a couple hundreds dollars in fines they will either stay home, start scooping or finding another home for the dog.

My husband followed a trouble dog home after it pooped in our yard and confronted the owners. It is against the law in most towns to let your dog off leash and it is the owner's responsibility to clean up after their pets. Contact your city office for animal regulations. If these laws exist in your town and the owners fail to take responsibility, contact the authorities. Or... Our neighbor scooped up the poop a trouble dog left behind and put it on its owner's front step. We haven't seen that dog outside its yard in a long time!

Talk to the owner--they are responsible for cleaning up. Ask that they clean up or go somewhere else! Now, remember, the edge of the street may be considered right of way and not really YOURS. If there's an argument, call the city hall and see who handles that kind of thing and what the regulations are in your area. Or maybe do that first, especially if they seem unfriendly or hostile. Live a good life!

If talking to the owner does not get results, the best way may be to make your yard undesirable. They sell sprays like NO! and some granule types that repel gogs and cats.We had to get some because of cats and the flower beds.Sprinkle all around the yard and the dog will avoid it.

You could get a little sign and put it on your yard. You could also watch and wait and when this happens you could offer the owner a bag to clean it up so that the owner feels real stupid. Just try not to yell and get upset because no one will win and your pooint will not be heard. Good luck.

I am all for the sign in your front yard. I try to remember to bring bags with me so I can pick it up if my dog goes.

You can confront this person he has apparently allowed his dog to feel like that is a great place to go. Don't act like a crazy person (okay i would but it defeats the purpose) just nicely tell him that if he is going to let the dog go in your yard then he needs to pick it up.

You can either pick it up yourself .. Put up a fence so that it can't happen.. Put up a ' No Dog Poop ' sign, Put a poop bag dispenser in your front yard, or you can cause more trouble than it's worth and wait for her and confront the owner when they allow it to happen..

We had/have this problem. We have 2 labs and ALWAYS clean up after them, always have baggies on walks and always walk through our yard and clean up messes.

This man down the street has a maltese who he walks on a 50ft lead and he will just keep walking while letting out the lead and let the dog stay in our yard and poo and just keep walking like he doest even know!!

We have confronted him twice, asked him nicely to please not let him poo in our yard. I even offered him a doggy bag one day...he still just stared at us and did nothing.

We spoke with him 3 or 4 times, even went and knocked on the door to ask him and his wife to stop, and he STILL lets him.

Well, fiance had enough S%$^ and picked it up one night out of our yard, walked right over to the guys house and placed it right on his porch :-)

You can put in thorny or spiny plants around the edges of your yard to deter the dog from even coming onto your property in the first place.

Take the poo, put it in a paper bag, place it on the owner's porch, light it on fire, ring the doorbell or knock on the door and then run. Then, sit back and enjoy the show.
