I have had the worst time getting motivated to get up in the mornings and put make-up on for the day or dress nicely. Every since I started this job 5 years ago and gained some weight..........I just have the hardest time. Any advise to help my situation.

awww,girly, tell me about it!! Its hard, but when you really want it itll happen. That and you also need to do things for yourself, like go out an destress. Happy hour with friends, hang out. Having a routine sometimes takes to much time and dosent give you time to enjoy yourself and you tend to get a little depressed. You need to be enjoying yourself outside of work to have motivation. You know what i mean?I started to go out more with friends cause all i was doing was go to school and work. A few weeks later i actually wanted to get up and work out and was all smiles. You gotta love life to be motivated!!

The fact that you are asking this questions shows that you care and you do have the motivation in there- you just need a little encouragement. How about really thinking about what it is you want to do when you leave school- what grades do you need, how can you get there? The harder you work in school the better off you will be in the end- it will set you up for life. I wish I thought like you when I was in school- I just got by, didnt really put the extra effort in. I have always worked since I left school but I am not in a career that I love- I just have an office job and needed to work extra jobs here and there to pay my mortgage and bills ! I think back to when I left 10 years ago and realise that if I would have thought about it all a little more and made a little more effort then maybe things would have come a little easier. Try to think about the future- it may seem like a long way off but it will fly around. Good luck. I know you can do it.

Usually, a person has trouble with motivation for one or two reasons: you really don't like what you are doing, or you are suffering from low level depression. To improve things, you need to figure if one or both of these things are affecting you.

The easiest thing to try out is exercising - many people can completely change their mood and level of energy through exercise.

If you really dislike what you are doing each day, then the only practical solution is do something else.

If you are suffering from depression, it would be a good idea to see your doctor and try out an antidepressant such as prozac or wellbutrin and see if the meds help. Some people also benefit from counseling.

DO something nice for yourself!! try lose that weight!!! even if it doesnt matter but it means a lot for self image!!! go out for walks and join some hobby classes!!! doing something nice for yourself is the key!

Maybe you need a new job... Sound like you are bored. If you ahte your job it's not going to be easy to get out of bed...find something different...introduce some change into your life...something you can look forward to so that you can get your butt out of bed. Good Luck.
