i am both. this girl i know always says how she thinks italians are usually fat, big-nosed, and hairy, and therefore she thinks they're ugly. the other day, i was at this bar and some guy who was talking to me asked what i was. i told him and he said that that mix is weird (i live in a really vanilla white area), so i got annoyed and stopped talking with him.

I am Polynesian, White and Lebanese. I get told my mix is crazy all the time, but I take it as a compliment. I like the fact that noone can tell what race I am, because then it doesn't define me :)
The guy probably didn't mean to offend you. Maybe he was saying 'weird' in a good way.
And the girl that blatantly stereotyped the Italian race is an ignorant, prejudiced idiot. Don't listen to her. She's wrong!

Beauty is many things, but the one thing it is not is eternal.
Sophia Loren was among the most beautiful women of her age (and is still a pretty old lady), and Raquel Welch (a Latina by extraction) was justly famed for her beauty, and remains a pretty old lady, too.
Then again, you can find hogs and trolls and dogs and walking accident victims of any extraction or nationality. That doesn't mean they aren't nice people, but "beautiful" is not among their assets.
There are some basic standards of beauty: symetrical features; large widely spaced eyes; high cheekbones; broad foreheads; even teeth; slender neck; square shoulders (but not too broad); firm bosom (though the ideal size varies with time and culture); toned abdomen; ample hips; long legs ... all features that denote (or at least simulate) intelligence, health, strength and fertility.
BUT, given the fact that there remain many many ugly people on the planet, it is apparent that either a) these traits are fortuitous and not capable of straight genetic duplication; or b) even the ugly can find someone to make babies with.
Personally, I believe it is a combination of both.
So to your original question: "perhaps." I have loved women of virtually every ethnic and racial group in my life, and the one truth is that love is in the mind, not hanging off our bones.

I'd say most girls are drop dead gorgeous sometime in their youth. Even fat women were probably were very appealing in their early teen years.
However, most women don't keep themselves up and start heading down the path of ugly by age 20...by 30, it is all over for them.
Men head down the path of ugly too...it just takes a little longer.

You were right to be annoyed, embarassed. The guy was a jerk. Italian, Latina, polish, German, African, middle eastern, french... doesn't matter, all women are pretty. Hold you head up and be proud of your heritage, and ignore the biased airheads who tell you otherwise.

She is stereotyping. In all races you have a variety of beauty. Sophia Loren, Italian and not hairy. And if she was, hey! so what. It is natural to be hairy, we are part of the animal kingdom.

It depends on the individual. Generally people who think like that girl you know are ugly themselves. Don't be afraid to be yourself. If someone doesn't like you just because you are a mix of any race or if you are just decended from one ethnicity then you shouldn't be around that person.

The color of our skin does not define who we are as people. I too have a weird mix. I'm latina/amer. indian. But I am a strong women and refuse to allow others to tell me who I am and what I'm about.

They both are idiots. I am not gay by any means but I think Latina/Italian/Spanish/Cuban all those types of women are beautiful. And the men from all of those are gorgeous. my oldest son is Cuban/Caucasian & he is adorable & his father is so sexy. Don't let anybody make you feel ugly or bad about yourself.
