The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the Only church set up in the manner Jesus Himself set it up... They are the only church who has a Prophet at the head, Apostles and quorum of the Seventy.
I know for myself it is God's one true church. You can find out for yourself... I invite you to read the Book of Mormon and pray to God and ask him if it is inspired!
Have a great day! :)

Actually there is a Prophet alive today. His name is Gordon B. Hinckley. He is the Prophet, seer and revelator that the Lord has called in this latter day.
I know that Gordon B. Hinckley is a Prophet of the Lord and that leads us closer to Him, if we follow the Prophet and hearken to his council.
We can return with honor.
I say this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
now, go ahead and give me a low rating, but I know that this is true.

The biggest lesson you can learn from Christ is that Organized Religion is bogus. They are the ones who crucified Him, right? The Jews were the true church of their day and all it became was a religious nightmare. Christ leads His Church by His Spirit. In Christianity you can see the full gamut of wackos just like in any other religion. Does this mean they are all saved? What if Christ Himself came down and said "This is my One True Church, and this guy is My one and only True Prophet and everybody must follow him because he is My chosen leader. Oh, I will be back in a couple thousand years to check up on things and see how you are doing."
Humans will always be humans. We have utter chaos in the Religious community. Remember it was Gods "One and Only True Church" that crucified the Messiah. He obviously wanted to personally lead His church through His word and not some sinful man. His Word has not passed away and is readily available to all who seek it. That in itself is a total miracle. The Bible is a spiritual entity all unto itself. Nobody owns it. Nobody can destroy it. What man could have written it? I grew up hating church and religion and took it upon myself to prove it all wrong when I picked up a Bible and read it cover to cover. I was absolutely convinced no man could have had anything to do with such a fantastic book. I still dont like church or religion. I havent been to church in a long time.I think the Bible is right. It says
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
lean not on your own understanding,
acknowledge Him in all your ways
and He will make straight your paths."
Proverbs 3:5-6
If you wish to fellowship in a church, fine. Does church have any authority to speak for God? No.
Just because a good salesman wants to become a religious leader and calls himself a Prophet or a Pope or whatever, that dont make him one. You have Gods Word which will never pass away. Thats all you need.

If te Bible was perfect, complete, infallible, we would not be as Paul described, children tossed to and fro with every wind of doctrine.
We have never needed a prophet more than we do today, IMHO.

You don't know what's going on by asking that. I am not here to belittle you, but only to inform you of what's before your very eyes.
Do you know about those who complain often about Christians using scriptures to explain things? Those Christians who know the word and apply it properly are propheciying. It's what we do. We are promised, believe it or not, the ability to use the power of God through the Gospel. Want a verse? ( maybe not, but I will use it anyway) :
Romans 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
It is the "POWER" of God unto salvation. The Greek word is 'Dunamis' which is the word where we get 'dynamite' from. We are using this power to bring those who are chosen by God and being led to him to the point of faith in God. So we are fulfilling what we are being told to do by Jesus. And that is to spread the Gospel, it is the 'power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth'.
Just so you know; maybe you are curious the definitions of 'Prophecy' :
–noun, plural -cies. 1. the foretelling or prediction of what is to come.
2. something that is declared by a prophet, esp. a divinely inspired prediction, instruction, or exhortation.
3. a divinely inspired utterance or revelation: oracular prophecies.
4. the action, function, or faculty of a prophet.
What we are doing is declaring something that has happened and something that will happen. We claim that Jesus rose from the dead ( the past) and are saying that we also will raise to eternal life to be forever with him. That's prophecying.

Today we have the completed Bible. There is no need for Apostles or Prophets. If we do not heed the Bible, we would not listen to Prophets.
