When a guy says that a girl isn't what he's looking for physically but still maintains contact with her even after hooking up with someone else. What does this mean?

He's keeping her around just in case he has no one one day and he already KNOWS she's into him, so he can keep her around as "a friend" and then he thinks he can use her later if the right moment came along that he needed someone. He's a jerk.

My guess would be he's not physically attracted to her (hence the "isn't what he's looking for physically") but likes her as a person/friend so sees no reason to sever all contact.
Just because someone isn't dating material for us (for whatever reason(s)) doesn't mean they wouldn't be great friends.

That he is starting to realize that physical beauty is only skin deep but the person's personality, principles, values, etc. go deeper making her look more desirable.

it means the guy is a slimeball or really likes her and is screwin with her mind. Or he wants to be friends? 'gag' give me a break
Unless you two are best friends i dont see what his point is in doing that, if you two are good friends then thats cool

by maintaining contact, he may be cultivating a sexual relationship...then again, he may just be cultivating a friendship
