I am looking to cruise (on my own) sometime this year and can travel, if need be), at 48 hrs.notice. Does anybody know a reliable source for last minute bargains ?

First of all you need to know that all cruise cabin are sold double occupancy. So that means that you and someone else 9wife/sister/brother/grandma) must be ready to go at the last minute. Secondly you would be better getting a good cruise deal, and a better stateroom by booking your cruise well in advance. Cruises do sell out completely and the chances of you getting a deal within 48 hours are very slim.
Several cruise line do allow you to sing up for last minute deals and they will send you an email when spaces are available. But these usually require you to be ready (and pay in full) within two weeks of the cruise rather than two days. Check out the cruise line sites below for last minute deals and signup.

At the bottom right submit your name and e-mail. You will get weekly e-mails about deals 3 hours to 2 weeks out on last minute deals.
This year is booking up fast for cruises, but you are not totally out yet.
