Well there have been lots of strange creations like the liger, horse and donkey. I don't know if this ones real but someone said a dolphin/whale. Although I'm not even sure you could get a cat and a dog in the same room. Although if you could, they probably still wouldn't breed. So I'd say no. Plus they couldn't even produce a litter anyways. The chromosomes are just to different.

No, they can't because the genes of dogs and cats are so distant. But your ? isn't stupid, no ? is stupid. Some animals can breed with differrent species, horses and donkeys make mules, but that is because they have a similar genetic makeup. I'm sure in some horrible animal lab somewhere some scientist is trying to create a half dog half cat mix, but in nature it won't happen.

They can NOT breed. First they have a different number of chromosomes so its not even possible for them to produce offspring. One is a canine and the other a feline so NO it will never work,they are different species.

Not that I'm aware of. I have both dogs & cats and they don't ever try to breed to each other.

They dont have the same number of choromosomes so no they cant breed together. If they could someone would have figured it out by now and I am sure the babies would be adorable.

haha I also thought about asking this question, because my Wiener dog is always trying to hump my cat, and she just sprawls out and lets him try, really disturbing!!!
