What evil could they possibly see in acupuncture. I encourage you to research the procedure and then ask your pastor why he thinks it's evil. You might learn a lot about your church (and religion) in this little exercise. Of course I can't be sure, but I imagine your pastor thinks it's evil because he/she misunderstands it. Do you want to be part of a church that condemns all they don't understand? If you are part of such a church then doesn't that reflect on you? Do you fear and hate that which doesn't make sense to you? I believe that if you were that kind of person then you wouldn't ask this kind of question.
Please challenge your pastor on this question. He needs to be reminded that he's not the authority on everything.
P.S. Acupuncture has very few (if any) verifiable medical benefits. That being said, if administered properly there is no real danger to it. So even in a placebo situation there is no harm done.

It is about time you started looking for another Church. Acupuncture and Chinese medicine have been around for centuries. I do not see any Biblical basis for prohibiting acupuncture.
Peace and blessings!

Allison,
They do not understand it. GOD gave us knowledge to use it not to hide it. The method behind accupuncture is that the nerves are stimulated in such a way that the body will allow pains to be helped and some healing to occur. Many years ago when Americans were unaware of what it was about, we sent medical doctors overseas to watch as they performed surgery on a patient without any pain-killing drugs. It is amazing what accupuncture CAN DO. GOD gave us the ability to do so many things it would be a shame to waste this one. Have a great day.
PS... Knowledge is power.
Thanks,
Eds, Christian

wow, i would suggest you find yourself a new church. there is nothing evil about acupuncture. that is like saying adderal is evil because it calms kids with ADD down.
talk about a close-minded minister. prayer is not the answer to everything.

No, acupuncture is not evil, and I can't imagine why your church says it is! It treats pain without using narcotics or other RX. drugs.. The church is meddling where it shouldn't...Imagine that!

Your church doesn't have a clue what they are talking about.
Churches used to say any treatment other than bleeding was satanic.
Accupuncture is a medical treatment...with some philosophy of polarity and elements to guide them. There is nothing religious or spiritual about it.

No. I don't get why your church says it's evil. This sounds like your Minster's opions leaking into his sermons.
