i am 28 and when i was in college i would dance for girls at parties and stuff. i was told i can do it for a living. i work out a lot and am big into physical fitness. i have a great career, but my life is bring, professional, etc. i am going to keep my career, but i would like to strip for girls at night part-time. the thing is that it would have to be a secret or i will lose my career. how can i advertise myself and where to get the work? in college girls would just ask me , word of mouth type of thing. but now i am in dallas, texas and dont know how or where to advertise myself--help anyone???

You can't keep your career and strip, Ethan. I mean, would you believe even a sitcom where a guy's in your proposed situation and he ISN'T found out and forced to make a choice?
So you have two options:
1. Do something else to show off your great bod, something respectable enough that when you're eventually and inevitably found out, it won't hurt your career. That would presumably be PG-rated modeling, done under another name to indicate respect for your profession. (It doesn't make any sense that using another name matters, but I think your bosses would all agree it does.)
2. If that's not going to float your boat the way stripping does (and I can't imagine it would compare), or if your career won't even stand modeling: Consider dumping that and supporting yourself as a stripper. It's certainly a major income cut, particularly at first, but if you also adjust your spending, and get professional advice on investing, you might actually be financially okay by the time you age out. (If you don't mind going gay-for-pay, stripping for guys, you might be able to keep going for years longer; many of us have a daddy/bear fetish that I don't think str8 women share.)
Before you go for option 2, however, you ought to get professional advice on how good you really are, how much you can make immediately and potentially, maybe take dance lessons to improve your act (up to the point where it won't improve your take any further), get liposuction to achieve incredible abs instead of a merely good set, and whatever else goes into being a truly bombshell stripper. For one thing, you'll probably have to consider relocating and/or going on the road a lot.
Afterthought: You don't say what your professional career is. There MAY be an Option 3. Or I may be fantasizing; you'll know better than I do, Ethan.
Say you're a lawyer, you *could* set up independent, so that you don't have any bosses but your clients. In that case, somewhere in my office I'd keep a comparatively small pic of myself at the thong-only stage. That way, every potential client is eventually going to ask about it, you tell them that you're a part-time stripper, and they either decide to retain you or not, with full disclosure (you should pardon the phrase). And some of them will ask for your other business card!
On the other end, it wouldn't hurt to offer a strip as "Ethan, the Lusty Lawyer (and He Really Is One)," starting from a full 3-piece suit with a briefcase--which you'd later pick up and skin out of your thong behind. Make sure you have some of your lawyer cards in the briefcase. (Incidentally, the suit-&-tie thing is another gay-guy fetish.)

I think you can place an ad in the newspaper or you can create your own personal website. Just list a number that no one has access to. If you can't do that, I would suggest working at a strip club...and if you don't want to reveal who you are, ask to wear a mask.
Hope this helps.

To advertise yourself you have to be open. At night, I'm pretty sure strippers are around, don't have sex, just ask them where the strip club is. It shouldn't be such of a problem since you're not afraid to show your body.

Advertise on those sex websites. Those are always private and most people are too ashamed to log in on those. It will be secrective.
