Pastor Billy says: that is correct Catholics have not changed the 10 commandments.
It is a false belief propagated by foaming at the mouth Adventists and Fundamentalists who make this claim so as to classify God's one Church as in error.
The 10 commandments can be found listed in several places in the bible and they are made up of more than 10 different statements. The difference between versions of division occurs between different schools of thought. The Catholics follow the list used by Jews in diaspora as the Catholic OT relies mainly on the text Jesus and the apostles primarily quoted from the ancient Septuagint, Alexandria text. The alternate list of the commandments comes from the school which relies upon Mass version (massoratic text)
re: calling popes saints, for the first 2-3 centuries all the popes were martyrs for Christ hence they were automatically saints as Paul describes they died for their friend in Christ.
If you are referring to the last pope JPII he is being referred to as someone who was a living saint in his time. If you are not Catholic or even not Christian i can understand the confusion on your part. Learn about JohnPaul II what an incredible man, probably the greatest of the 20th century even BIlly Graham of the Evangelical game of Protestant Christianity said so.
To the last fellow typing "xtian" what is that an alien species?
In case you don't know using the title "Jew(s)" is a degrogatory slang for the people of the book. Make fun of Christians all you want but just know that everytime you use Jew to describe yourself you are thumbing your nose at your own ethnic group.
Lawnerd I went to that website and............had to laugh hahahahaha lol lol, where is anything missing??? You anti-catholics will have to do better. There is absolutely nothing missing accept some braincells from the bigot who set up the website. Your only issue is how the statements are divided up. All the instructions of the commandments are there. Really now don't you have something better to complain about? grow up

Here's the link that Leonard forgot to post.
http://www.biblicalheritage.org/Bible%20Studies/10%20Commandments.htm
The real problem here is that the "10" Commandments aren't actually numbered in the Old Testament. Plus, there are three different versions of the 10 Commandments and all three differ just a little, with the version in Exodus 34 being the most radically different.
Neither Catholics or Protestants accept that the 10th commandment is actually "Thou shalt not cook a baby goat in it's mother's milk." Yet there it is, in the Bible, written on the stone tablets that Moses brings down from the mountain in verse 24b.
It's also worth pointing out, that in the Exodus 22 version of the 10 Commandments that most follow, neither Catholics or Protestants follow the traditional Jewish grouping. So Leonard is wrong again. Slam Dunk!

The 10 Commandrements that the Catholics and the rest of Christianity use is the first 10 as mentioned in Exodus chapter 20. However, they forget about Moses coming down from the Mt. and destroying the tablets that G-d had made the Covenent upon, Exodus 32.
Later G-d Commanded Moses to return to the Mout and a new covenent was established,. These 10 commandments, and the ones we are to follow can be found in Exodus chapter 34.
This major flaw in xianity is partly why us Jews will never accept your Jesus as G_d and Messiah, because xians refuse to obey the commands of G-d and stick their noses at people who do.

First of all I see no link, secondly the ten commandments that the Catholic church apouse are in actuality no different to your church, in fact Jesus said `I give you a new commandment love God and love your neighbor` now if you love God you will do nothing to offend Him and the same applies to your neighbor.
The commandments were made for man and not the other way round just like the Sabbath, so what can we say? do you dot every `i` and cross every `t` in order to get it right?
Take the splinter out of your own eye etc, and try doing what Christ commanded, or continue like the Pharisee`s by straining at a Gnat while swallowing a Camel.

Whether the commandments have changed or if the order is changed that is not important. Every religion has commandments in different names but gives the same idea. As in the Moses's story why god gave such commandments b'coz ppl were like wild animals by religion with commandments god is trying to socialize that type of ppl.
My English isn't good enough to tell you what Im really trying to say but hope you'll get the idea. Every religion has mistakes but how these religions exists up to now and don't keep looking for mistakes just get what is good for you every religion tries to make you a better person

Did you know that the bible does not number the commandements? The difference between the Protestant and Catholic 10 commandments is in the way they have been categorized.
The commands against idolatry have been taken as 2 commandments by Protestants (no other gods before me + no graven images, IIRC) while Catholics lump it all into one.
On the other hand, coveting is all limped into the 10th commandment by Protestants, while it's the 9th and 10th for Catholics (no coveting thy neighbour's goods + no coveting his wife).
So essentially they're the same, they were just grouped differently. Nothing worth getting excited about.

I am sorry, but the page that you posted contains an error.
Since i clicked on your link, you can click on this link and see what teh Catholic Church says is the First Commandment - http://www.scborromeo.org/ccc/p3s2c1a1.htm
If you do not want to click on the link, I will copy and paste it for you:
I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself a graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them or serve them.

Some Pope's make it to Sainthood, but that is not decided until after they have passed away, the proclamation of Sainthood takes a lot of time, and is not related to him being a Pope.
We do not call our active Pope's Saint.
You are really deficient in your knowledge of the Catholic Faith, I suggest you read the New Testament and the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
At least then if you dis-agree, we will have a bases to debate based on our real beliefs!
Good Luck and Blessings!

Okay, so once again:
The Ten Commandments in Scripture: Exodus 20-
1 Then God delivered all these commandments: 2 I, the Lord, am your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, that place of slavery. 3 You shall not have other gods besides me. 4 YOU SHALL NOT CARVE IDOLS FOR YOURSELVES IN THE SHAPE OF ANYTHING IN THE SKY ABOVE OR ON THE EARTH BELOW OR IN THE WATERS BENEATH THE EARTH; 5 YOU SHALL NOT BOW DOWN BEFORE THEM OR WORSHIP THEM. For I, the Lord, your God, am a jealous God, inflicting punishment for their fathers' wickedness on the children of those who hate me, down to the third and fourth generation; 4 but bestowing mercy down to the thousandth generation, on the children of those who love me and keep my commandmentsl 7 You shall not take the name of the Lord, your God, in vain. For the Lord will not leave unpunished him who takes his name in vain.
8 Remember to keep holy the sabbath day. 9 Six days you may labor and do all your work,, 10 but the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord, your God. No work may be done then either by you, or your son or daughter, or your male or female slave, or your beast, or by the alien who lives with you. 11 In six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them; but on the seventh day he rested. That is why the Lord has blessed the sabbath day and made it holy.
12 Honor your father and your mother, that you may have a long life in the land which the Lord, your God, is giving you.
13 You shall not kill.
14 You shall not commit adultery.
15 You shall not steal.
16 You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
17 You shall not covet your neighbor's house. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male or female slave, nor his ox or ***, nor anything else that belongs to him.
Now, what did we change?!
