Well, I think that Hell will change when it is cast into the Lake of Fire. That's in Revelation 20. So I think that it will become somehow worse when that happens.
As I understand it, Hell is where the spirits of men reside. They are somehow not very mobile there. They seem to be 'stuck' in places. Yet they also seem to be always awake, constantly reacting to their environment or others, capable of speech, some are or were calling out to God, all the spirits there are not equal in their torment, they are aware of others around them, they seem tireless. According to what I read in the Bible the spirits there are capable of talking to eachother, or suggesting things to each other, they believe that those things can be carried out, but apparently those who are saved who lived during the Old Testament times are released from Hell. If there was an actual place called, "Abraham's Bosom", it might be empty, but it was a place where there is no torment in the sense of those who are not in it are tormented.
There might be places there where fire and brimstone is present, though I am persuaded that all the places there are not fire and brimstone.

I don't believe in the literal interpretation of fire and brimstone. I think hell is complete isolation for all eternity and a lack of all sensation. You'd never see, hear, touch, smell, or taste anything ever again. After a few thousand years of isolation you'd be longing for fire and brimstone just so you could feel something. When it refers to fire and brimstone, I think it could be referring to the state your mind would be in when you experience an eternity of utter isolation. The mental torture would far exceed any physical torture imaginable.

Seperation from God is hell enough but I believe in the final judgement those who are not in Christ will be cast into a lake of fire, I don't really know what that would be like.
I do not think anyone will have their earthly body at that time and I think the soul is what will be suffering. This is why I talk to people in here.
I not unlike God would not want any to perish and be in Hell, The very thought hurts me so much I can't stand it.
I believe Jesus went through this seperation on the cross and also went to hell on our behalf and took charge of it's power on our behalf.
I praise God that I will not face this because of his gift.

Sheol is the grave, not hell.
Hell is the second death, identified in Rev.20:14. The second death is the lake of fire, for which unbelievers, death, Hades, the false prophet, the beast, and satan will be thrown after failing judgement for their deeds by God the Father. It is an abyss with pits of utter darkness.
According to Rev. 20:10 it is a place of toment day and night forever and ever. Rev. 21:8 further defines that the lake burns with fire and brimstone (=sulphur). Clearly it is a place absent of God, His love, His mercy, and His grace. It is a place of eternal suffering with no hope of ever escaping.
It is also a just place for all of us, for we are all sinners deserving this fate.
This is what Christ saves us from when we place our faith in Him.

I don't believe in Hell. I believe in man, and his (or her) capacity for creating hell here on earth.
By the way, if you watched the history channel last night, there was the History of Sex - which traced the development of the church's views on sex, celibacy, and sin. I was rolling - apparently sex was a lot hotter for christians before the middle ages - and we are very sexually repressed compared to before the middle ages. So that whole thing about how your sex life is sending you to hell is a bunch of malarky devopeloped by church leaders! Yeehaw! Let the debauchery begin!

My vision of hell would be worshipping a tyrannical deity prone to childish fits of destruction, and who threatens nonbelievers with an eternity of fire and brimstone, and the gnashing of teeth.

Hades or Sheol is the grave.
The fire and brimestone come later in the final judgement and it falls from heaven like in the time of Sodom. After the death and the grave is annihilated with all the lost in them, a New Earth is created.
