When do you start thinking someone is interested in you and is hitting on you? Does it have to be more direct with you like the random person has to come up to you and give you a pick up line or touch you or ask you out directly or give you a letter or do you think people are interested on any of these
1. Person walks up to you out of the blue/complete stranger and starts a discussion about whatever you're doing
2. When the person tries to keep up the conversation for a long time and doesn't make it a short chat
3. Person compliments you during the discusiion
4. Random asks to hang out with you sometime
5. Random person asks to join in what you're doing and do it with you
6. Random person who was looking at you or smiling at you from earlier has now returned to strike up a conversation

when there's a tongue in my mouth that's not mine, I pretty much know someone's hitting on me.
Usually, if a stranger tells me something in a really flirty way, I think they're hitting on me. If they ask me out, or want to talk, I think they are "interested"...a subtle difference.

If it's bothering you, and you're definitely not into the same sex for dating, then don't take the chance of the letting the other person continue. You may have to ask them their intentions or why they are acting toward you as they are. Or you may just come out and let it be known you're not interested in them that way if you feel they are hitting on you. They may just be overly friendly, but in today's world, why take the chance.

well honestly 1-6 could be just friendly gestures. If a person of the same sex is interested when they are talking to you, he/she will hold longer eye contact maybe with a smile. Its the same for a guy and girl. You can tell. with eye contact!!

All of them..for them to even want to talk is an interest in me..would you walk over to someone that didnt interest you and chat w/them? This doesnt mean the interest is so far that it will lead to a sexual relationship..it just means they want to get to know you and build from that but your interesting enough to invest some time in you.
