2 Peter 3:10 "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up."
KJV
Don't you know that all God has to do is take away the oxygen in our atmosphere and the hydrogen would explode. The elements would melt and the earth would be no more. And yes, this could and may very well happen in our lifetime.

Yes I do. There is much scientific data to show that the world was destroyed by a hydro-catastrophe, and when the Bible said it did. For a start, try www.halos.com

And the world has reached a crescendo in violence and sin--God has promised us it will happen again: Read Isaiah 24 for a description.

And God gives you one last chance to believe in Him in a Bible code--closed "until the time of the end."

Yes, the end is coming, but God calls us like Noah, the preacher of righteousness. Select http://abiblecode.tripod.com

That would depend upon what you mean by the world.

Planet earth? Society? planet will stop its movement? The world or society as we know it? What would define the end?

Old Native American prophecy.
When the last river has been poisoned and the last animal lay dying, a new tribe of people will come, from all colors, creeds and backgrounds and through their actions and deeds they will make the earth green again. They will be called the Warriors of the rainbow.
So no, I don't but i think it will be close to ending.

eventually, of course. will we still be around to see it? who knows? every end brings about a new beginning. I'm curious though, why do religious people place so much importance on the world's end? do you get such little joy out of existance that you're so anxious for it to end? christians have been waiting on Jesus to come back for 2000 years...and very often they were sure that world events were the sign that it was about to happen. cry wolf, anyone?

Yes. Everything does. Its got another 4 or 5 billion years before the sun expands and turns it into ash but even before then some large object the size of the moon might come and hit it and blast it into oblivion. A nuclear war, a super volcano eruption, a huge meteor strike all might eliminate life, but the planet itself would go on and life would probably survive somewhere in isolated pockets and eventually reestablish itself, but it does look to modern scientific understanding as if the world will get reduced to ashes in about 4 or 5 billion years.

The world will NOT come to an end....On the contrary!.......Upon the return of Jesus Christ and the judgment of the world, He will establish His goverment and His throne in Jerusalem. His government will consist of all of God's true saints as joint heirs, and reign in the Kingdom of God on earth for the Millennium (1000 yr) rule. He and the glorified saints will rule over the nations—over physical human beings. Christ will teach the nations the way of life that produces peace. Today’s Christians—resurrected as spirit beings (the "firstfruits")—will rule under His direction, as the kings and priests who will rule over cities and nations (see Luke 19:17; Revelation 2:26). These kings and priests will educate the world about God’s truth. Notice this inspiring scripture, describing those who will be taught God’s ways during the Millennium: "And though the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, yet your teachers will not be moved into a corner anymore, but your eyes shall see your teachers" (Isaiah 30:20). And what will the glorified saints—the kings and priests—teach? "Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, ‘This is the way, walk in it,’ whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left" (v. 21).

In the Millennium, the teachers will teach God’s law. The prophet Isaiah gives us an inspiring foretaste of what will come. "Now it shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it. Many people shall come and say, ‘Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths.’ For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem" (Isaiah 2:2–3).
Humanity’s often-contradictory and unjust laws will be no more. God’s laws will be taught and administered from Jerusalem. And the Ten Commandments are the foundation of those laws. Remember, Jesus said: "But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments"—then He went on to list several of the Ten Commandments (Matthew 19:17). Moreover, in His "Sermon on the Mount" Jesus actually magnified the Ten Commandments.......What will be the effect of God’s government on this earth? "He shall judge between the nations, and rebuke many people; they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore" (Isaiah 2:4).

When Christ returns, He will re-educate the whole world to the way of peace. "The cow and the bear shall graze; their young ones shall lie down together; and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. The nursing child shall play by the cobra’s hole, and the weaned child shall put his hand in the viper’s den. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea" (Isaiah 11:7–9). After the Great White Throne Judgment, God will establish a new Kingdom of heaven on earth.........."Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.".....(Revelation 21:1-4).
