Just so you know, I had two labret piercings. One was higher up, so I sometimes wore a cbr in it vs. a labret post. Anyways. I have two VERY noticeable scars and people always ask, "Hey did you have your lip pierced?" On top of that, my gum line started to recede on my lower front two teeth. I did have my labrets from 2001-2006 though.
I have friends that had their piercings for shorter periods of time and they still have scars.
So.. you most likely will have a scar. If it's something that you cant live with for the rest of your life, then dont get the piercing. A piercing DOES NOT MAKE WHO YOU ARE! It's just decoration and a means to visually express yourself. If you are so worried about that though, just paint a picture! :P
Good luck.

It will most likely leave a small mark that will fade over time. If you want a piercing for a short while, I suggest something not so noticable when it heals, such as your nose which tends to heal over very well and since its angled, people wont notice it as much. Your lips is a pretty noticable place for a scar if one would form. Ears are safest, then anything under clothes isnt a worry because youre the only one who will know there is a scar there.
I would not recommend a lip piercing you arent committed to, including the scar from it.

yes it will leave a scar but such a tiny one no one will really notice unless they are looking for one. lol. i pierced my lip and now i have a tiny tiny scar. no one knows about it but me. why would you only want your lip pierced for a few months? i plan on taking my piercings out one day (like in a year or so) but after only a few months would be pointless i think.

Don't listen to all the Piercing haters out there. If you're of legal age and you want to pierce something, go for it. If you're out to win a popularity contest, don't do it, but if you're doing it because it's something you truly want, than go to a professional and have it done and enjoy it.
But, by saying you only want it a few months or years, tells me you haven't truly made a mature decision about whether or not to do it, so I suggest you wait. And yes, if you take it out, you will have a scar.

My friend just had her lip pierced, and she didn't like it, but she couldn't take it out because it hurt too much.
I don't know about the scar, but I am guessing it would leave some kind of mark.

It doesnt harm on the beginning up, such as you're able to be able to desire to take the needle getting into, yet whilst she places the hoop in and after a mutually as later on, it starts to harm. It hurts extra desirable than piercing yur nostril or ear

It will probably leave a mark, depending on your skin and how long you leave it in. My friend had his chin pierced for a couple years and it took years for the whole to close

I am a firm believer in nature. Why you have to pierce your lips, I think it will be beautiful with your present lips than one pierced. Think and act. Of course you are a better person to decide.

Why would you get your lips pierced? Did you know that's not healthy, especially your lips? And yes, it probably could see after.

Probably. Plus I think a pierced lip feels awful and it looks a little gross. I could never kiss a person with a pirced lip, it is like an open wound. please reconsider.
