Wow.. you got a lot of answers to this question. May as well add mine. Basically it's ready to eat.. drain it well by squeezing the water (or oil) out with the lid after you open it. If you like it plain like that... go for it. Someone said add Mayo... just mayo isn't tuna tossed salad. But you can use it as is in a salad. For tuna salad, add chopped celery, grated onion, a little sw. pickle relish s&p, mayo.

(it wasn't a stupid question at all)

It's ready to eat in a sense. But it tastes better when you make tuna salad with it. There are plenty of different ways to spice up tuna.

Depends on whether or not you like flavoring. Some people eat it by itself, some people add it into meals, and some people add mayo and make tuna fish sandwiches. If you're asking if you have to cook it, the answer is no.

Well it's ready to eat, but if you want to have a tuna salad or sandwich you would have to add mayo, chives, clery, ect (and whatever else you like on your tuna salad) and mix them all together. Unless you like it bland.

Its good and ready to eat, just drain it first and then you can add mayo, or anything you want to it, you can even eat it straight from the can. btw not a stupid question.

lol-- its not stupid. Tuna in a can is ready to eat-- no need to cook it or anything.

I personally have to add some type of flavor-- lol -- I add a little bit of ketchup, mustard, and mayo-- then I eat it with crackers... believe me when I say "Dee-lish"!!!!!

Hope this helped-- take care!
