Actually no it is not, many people in scripture described themselves as humble, you are probably thinking here of false humility which is in fact hidden pride.
You can know and admit to being humble when the spirit of truth dwells in you, if you are humble and it is truth, why lie about it and say that you are not?

I am so humble I am willing to teach classes on it.
My curriculum:
Abasement 101
"Eating Humble Pie "and liking it 105 (prerequisite abasement)
"Looking into the mirror" 105 and
"I'm not OK and Neither are you"
seriously though, being humbled is usually a painful process and not something you brag about

Not at all. I consider myself to be humbled. I'm also openly admired for my humbleness.
There is nothing bad about it. It actually helps others to know that, so they feel more comfortable in talking to me.
The problem would arise if I said I was humble, but was actually lying.

Yep
Lord it's hard to be humble
when you're perfect in every way
I can't wait to look in the mirror
I get better looking each day
to know me is to love me
I must be a heck of a man
Oh lord it's hard to be humble
but i'm doing the best that I can
(My dad used to sing that everyday while he shaved LOL)

Yes it does. Humble definition: Marked by meekness or modesty in behavior, attitude, or spirit; not arrogant or prideful.

definitely yes-as one responder put it-if they are humble, they don't have to announce it to the world, it should show in the way they live.Their kind of humility is a false sense of pride.

Proud to be humble. It's a self-contradiction.
I could never be humble. I am very proud of my hard-won personal achievements.

So if I say I am humble only to show that I am not humble, does that make me humble?
