I know one that's difficult to discuss during life , but often becomes easier after the loss of a loved one . And that thing is the ever-lasting joy and painless ever-lasting life with our Lord . During life we focus on life, life as we know it anyway . But after this life is eternal life free from all our troubles and sorrows . Free from pain and suffering . A whole New Life hardly imaginable when we are living what we currently refer to as life . And that's understandable, but not to be forgotten ever . As a Christian we are told of this regularly, we believe it, but it's hard to grasp when we're dealing with our current life struggles .
Before I go and listen to your thoughts, remember this. . . . .. . . .. . The Lord Jesus Promised This Ever-Lasting Life To Us All . .. . .Doncha Think It Might Be A Good Idea To Believe Him And Just Trust Him ?

What Are Your Thoughts ?

I noticed that a couple of you referred to how we speak and remember kindly of the dead after their gone , more so than when they were here .
Just brings to mind the song " In The Living Years " . . . . .. .. .Say it loud. . .Say it clear . . .You can lis-ten as well as you hear. .. .It's too late(it's too late) . . .When we die(oh when we die) . . .To ad-mit we don't see eye to eye !!

Words of wisdom for those willing to grasp it !!

Sadly, that we wish we had told them how much we loved them...Don't pass up a chance to tell the people that are near and dear to you that you love them...they (or you) may not have tomorrow.

I just lost a loved one last month and am losing a friend here soon. One was unexpected and the other, we see coming.

The thing that gets me through the whole process is knowing that they are going to be in a better place and they will be free from pain.

I believe that the way we handle things in this life has a great bearing on the way we will be treated in the next.

We all have our trials to go through, none are free from that, but we need to be able to handle them with grace and dignity and realize that it is all a grand scheme that we all get an important role in it.

In answer to your question, my experience is that most people speak more kindly of the dead immediately after death. Much is forgiven because they realize holding onto resentments and anger just hurts the lving.

Way ahead of you, Sir! You know of my loss, recently. And nothing will ever get you. Like losing a close Family Member. And for those who are my dearest Friends, on Y!A? Friendship can comfort. But your final days, will be of your own accord. How will you feel at that time. God Bless you, Earnest. We all stand with you!

what I find ironic is that when people are alive.. we talk about all the negative things that have happened in their lives.. but when they die.. then we talk about the positives.

Well, my Grandmother on my Mother's side recently died, and all my Father said about her is that she spread her legs too much. LOL (He's a asshole I guess.)
