Yes it breaks my heart, too. Except I also believe that God gives every person ample opportunity: 1. to accept Him and spend Eternity in His Presence, or 2. to reject Him and spend Eternity separated from God's love!

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him, shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16(NIV)

Jesus came into this world to preach the Good News (the Gospel) and to die a horrible death on the Cross for us, yet rose again from the dead and sits at the right hand of God, the Father.

Many of us are heart-broken to see others dismiss what the Lord has taught us . Some people resist because they have the misconception that being a Christian means you have to be perfect and you don't .

EDIT* - Don't let these detractors get you down . In fact the Lord fully warned us of this behavior and also said that we gain grace through it . Stand Tall , and Stand Alone if you must , but never let them get you down !!

Many have read the Bible. Many do not read the Bible with an open heart and mind. Without the Holy Spirit to open your eyes to the Bible you do not see it for what it is. Yes, it is sad.

Reading the bible won't convince anyone of anything, unless they've been told from birth that the bible is a book of unquestionable truth.
Wake up and smell the indoctrination.

Have you not read the Bhagavad Gita? The Iliad? The Mabinogion? The Aeneid? The Egyptian Book of the Dead? The Epic of Gilgamesh? The Tain bo Cuillinge? Do you not realize that ancient books are just books written by dead people and are no more important than the works of Shakespeare, Whitman, and Virginia Woolf?

Please distinguish between the two Bibles. The TaNaKh (OT) says nothing about that awful place you call hell. It's the NT that excludes everyone but Christians! Your kind and loving god brought eternal torment for those who don't "believe" in his son. Why would anyone forsake a God of justice for a god of vengeance???

It breaks my heart when idiots do not read the Community Guidelines. This is how you don't get your account deleted. Get a clue and use some punctuation.

Wow, I've never thought about it that way.

What part of the Bible is true and where can I find a talking snake?

I read the Bible...from cover to cover.

It does not mean what you think it means...not to mention inconsistancies and translation errors.

We are all Children of God...there is no hell for us. If the best of earthly parents would not think of throwing their own children in something less than hell for rest of their life...how can you think our Heavenly Father will through any of us in hell for all of eternity?
