Is 75k/year a good salary for a 23 year old? I live in a suburb of Boston and i pay 1100/month for a nice 700sq ft apartment w/ heat + hot water included. It's in a very nice (and wealthy) area also.
As far as benefits go I receive FULL medical and dental (i only pay copays) and i get 3 weeks paid vacation. Is this a good salary for 23? I have friends making 80+ and i know lucky ones that got wall street jobs that make 100+ easily (but they also work 80hrs a week and they'll lose their jobs if we enter a bear market)
What do you think?

You either enjoy rubbing people up the wrong way or you are seriously out of touch with everyday people.
It's more than most people earn.. ever. But my guess is you know that and take pleasure in boasting. So sad..

I think you'll do just fine in life. At 23, and making 75k in the Boston area with the other figures you've offered, you can afford a decent car, and not have to worry much about finances at all as well. My advice is to save and diversify your investments also - Start young! You won't regret it in the long run!

First as a mother let me say this never compare yourself to anyone else, be your own person. You most defintely make more than enough for a 23 year old even in the Boston area. My 27 year old doesn't even come close to making what you do here in Connecticut but COLA is different here. I am proud of you and I don't know you.

Thats a very good salary for the age of 23. I am 30 years old and only pull 90k a year selling cars. The nice thing about your income is that it's guaranteed unlike mine where i am 100% commission.
One thing is for sure, i bet you worked your butt off in school so anyway you look at it you sure deserve it.

By golly....that's it! I'm moving to Boston! Hehe....
To me that's an awsome salary for any age even by the time retirement hits. I'm 25 and in the 20K range at a real estate company. So uh....stick with it.
Did you go to college for what you do? What is it that you do???? I'm checkin out boston!

I think it's good for any age, actually. Just because some of your friends make more than that doesn't mean it's that small an amount. And the stress that they're facing hardly seems worth it. Good night!

I think there are a lot of jealous 23 YO s out there after reading this.
There are always people making a lot more - don't worry about them - only owrry about what you make and your future.
