Sorry to hear about your problem. 1st you could try removing that battery (it looks like a watch battery and is about the size of a nickel) on your motherboard. Leave it out for about 1/2 hour and then put it back in and try reboot. Doinf this will often reset your bios to default settings.

If this doesn't work then you might want to try booting from your floppy and reloading your bios backup. If your system is still using the cd rom as boot device No.1 then you will need to change it in the BIOS by hitting F1, F2 or escape depending on your computer. Change the boot option and then reboot. Hope this helps. Good luck.

attempt to replace to the old BIOS quite. obtain the unique BIOS and use an identical technique in case you may. If no longer something boots in any respect, the motherboard is "toast", it frequently can not be recovered. in the marketplace, that's talked approximately as "bricking it", making the motherboard now as useful as a brick.... ALL BIOS updates have a warning approximately doing so at your very own danger....

Try clearing the CMOS memory. There should be a jumper on your motherboard...check your manual for the location.

reboot, hit F8 to enter safe mode, then do a system restore to a time before your bios update
