There is nothing you can do to conveive a boy. It is the way the DNA from the two of you pairs up that will determine the sex of the child...and there is now way to alter this process. It is just one amazing part of having a child.

"Frequency and Timing of Intercourse:

Shettles says in order to increase the chances of having a boy, you
should have sex now earlier than 24 hours before ovulation to 12 hours
after ovulation.

Intercourse closer to ovulation the faster but less robust Y (boy)
sperm. The cervical mucus present at ovulation is less acidic and
"slippery" enough to help the Y (boy) sperm reach the egg more
quickly.

Sexual Position:

Shettles suggests that if you are trying to conceive a boy, deep
penetration from your partner, preferably with the "doggy style"
position, will deposit the sperm closer to the cervix giving the more
aggressive and quicker moving "boy" sperm a head start to
fertilizating the egg first.

Sex and Orgasms:

When trying to conceive a boy, Shettles suggests that orgasms during
sex are a good thing as the body produces substances after orgasm that
makes the vaginal environment more alkaline, which favors the "boy"
sperm.

The contractions which accompany an orgasm help move the sperm up and
into the cervix, giving the "boy" sperm an extra chance at being
available when your egg is available for fertilization.

Considerations for the Men:

Have your partner wear boxers. Wearing tight fitting underwear
increases the heat levels around the testes and can, in turn, lower
the sperm count. Wearing loose fitting underwear helps keep the testes
cooler.

Have your partner drink a caffeinated beverage right before sex. This
makes the Y-Sperm more active."

I read an article in a magazine about this. Since the sperm that carry the male gene don't live as long as the ones with the female gene, you have to have intercourse very close to ovulation. If you can pinpoint your ovulation date, you should have intercourse on that day and then you can have intercourse again within that 24 hour time frame. I also read that if you climax before your husband does, your fluid is acidic enough to kill off most of the male sperm. I guess the female ones are tougher. So, you would need to try to let your husband climax first. My husband and I tried these methods and are now pregnant and hope that this works. We really want a boy. But, honestly, it's up to a higher power.

Pinpoint when the woman is ovulating. She might be able to tell herself (her vaginal mucus will be plentiful and stretch between her fingers without breaking). Have sex THEN.
We wanted a girl, and timed sex for a couple of days before ovulation. The sperm for females lives longer, and the sperm for males swim faster. So, for a girl, sex before ovulation, for a boy, sex right on the day of ovulation.

We also had a book called "How to Choose the Sex of your Baby" and it listed some foods to eat, etc... Another thing to consider is that the male sperm are more fragile than the female. If you tend to take hot showers or use a hot tub (or wear briefs rather than boxers), this can lower sperm count, and those hardier female sperm are more likely to make it.

We didn't do any diet changes. I think the ovulation timing is your best bet. But, some men just have more of one type than the other, and they're going to have families of kid after kid of one sex... be prepared for getting either.
Best of luck.

Try to conceive the day of ovulation. Male sperm are faster but die quicker. If you do it before ovulation, the male sperm will die and female sperm will live until ovulation and you will have a better chance of having a girl. So you want the male sperm to beat the female sperm to the punch.

There's no real guarantee but studies have shown that "male" sperm swim faster but die quicker. So, if you can have intercourse the very day before or the day of ovulation you have better chances.

sorry, it's the luck of the draw. you get what you get. there are books that describe how to get a baby of one gender or the other, but they dont' really work. whatever genes the man donates decide which gender the baby is.

Pray. I've heard of natural gender selection where the position you have sex determines the sex of the baby, but I think it's a bunch of crap.

You can't choose the gender of a baby, it's all up to the sperm. ;)
