Hi there
Does anyone know if you have to be a rail user to park the car in South West train stations' car parks? Surely they can't go round asking all drivers??

Seriously, I am deciding to use my rail card and travel. but not all my friends want to travel by trains. Especially when tickets are so expensive!

There is no checking, so you can park there all you like. In some stations you have to buy the car parking ticket from the rail ticket office, but again, they don't check that you're travelling by train.

You can, but if you're not riding then its really bad karma. You may achieve balance by feeding some expired parking meters with cars parked at them next time in the city.

No they don't check, (how could they - you buy a ticket from a machine) but here in GNER country it is so expensive that I wouldn't bother (and the station is miles from the town as well)
