Would a KENWOOD KDC-MP235 Head Unit fit in a 1996 Chrysler New Yorker? Or what will fit? I heard soemthing about needing a special size for GM and Chryslers or is this just a wise tale or something?

I've gone to that website but it isn't for sale there and doesn't say whether or not it will fit.

The Kenwood KDC-MP235 CD player is what's called a "DIN" size head unit. You can fit any DIN head unit into a New Yorker provided you use an adapter kit. An adapter kit is just a plastic piece that's the same size and has the same mounting holes as the factory radio, and it has a cut-out that will fit the new radio. If you use the right kit you'll have no problems using that head unit in your vehicle. http://www.amazon.com/Stereo-Install-Chrysler-Yorker-installation/dp/B000KL4GW2/ref=sr_1_63/103-3526183-2924624?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1180018090&sr=1-63
