Wow!
I actually have been saying for years David's Bridal is the
WalMart bridal store!
Just because the service is not that great I've been in there just looking for ideas and then my Matron of Honor went (she lives in another state) she was looking at dresses and they wouldn't help her either.
Most of the items just seem to have a generic quality.
I don't agree with the poor people comment but, the rest I do.
And I bought my Maggie S. dress at a local boutique and got it brand new for 50% off because they received it in from another store and it luckily hadn't been tried on a thousand times, or placed in the clearance rack where it belonged because it's not made anymore!

Just because a lot of people go to David's Bridal that does not mean that they are poor. Think about it you wear the dress for one day and that is it. Why would you go to a Bridal Store and spend $2,000.00 on a dress when you can go to Davids Bridal and find the same dress for half the money.

FIRST OF ALL LET ME SAY THAT I GOT MY DRESS FROM DAVID'S BRIDAL AND IT LOOKS DAMN GOOD. YOU SHOULD NOT SAY THINGS LIKE THAT YOU DON'T KNOW WHO YOU WILL OFFEND. NO IT IS NOT LIKE A WALMART FOR POOR PEOPLE. A WEDDING IS NOT ABOUT THE LOOKS OR THE PRICE IT IS MORE ABOUT THE COUPLE AND HOW THEY FEEL. YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE NOTHING TO PROVE TO ANYBODY BY SAYING YOU PAID THIS MUCH OR THAT MUCH. I SEE WERE YOU PAID 2000 DOLLARS FOR YOUR DRESS DID YOU BUY A HOUSE FIRST. PLEASE LOOK AT IT THAT WAY. SOME PEOPLE WHO ARE GETTING THEIR FIRST HOUSE MAY NOT WANT TO SPEND A LOT OF MONEY ON A DRESS. AND SOME PEOPLE MIGHT HAVE TO PAY FOR ALOT OF THINGS THEIR SELVES WHY WOULD YOU DO INTO DEBT TRY TO IMPRESS SOME ONE JUST BUY SAYING I PAID THIS OR THAT. IT REALLY DOESN'T MATTER. THE WEALTH YOU HAVE WILL NOT LAST FOREVER AND I CAN SEE BY YOUR COMMENTS THAT IT SURELY DOES NOT MAKE YOU HAPPY...... RE THINK THINGS BEFORE YOU TYPE IT. HOW WOULD YOU LIKE IT IF PEOPLE SAID THAT YOU WERE A BIG AZZ FOOL FOR PAYING THAT MUCH FOR A DRESS

I am not "poor" and I got my dress there. Why? Well, because I own a house, I have a son, I have a student loan to pay off, etc. etc.
I would have liked to get a Maggie Sottero dress. But the prices are kinda high. I found a very similar dress at David's for $599. I'm not sure what the price of the Maggie Sottero dress was but I know it was over $1000.

You know, seriously. I have seen two posts by you on here just bashing people about their wedding preparation choices and asking if it has to do with income. You need to not worry about how others spend their money on their weddings and worry about your own.
To answer this question, no, David's Bridal is not for "poor" people. I know quite a few people who have shopped there for very pretty dresses that do not cost a lot so they are able to spend the money on other things.

I got my wedding dress ( but it is not a white wedding dress it is more of a prom dress) and it cost me under$100.00 dollars..I am very happy about that dress I have worn it a couple times to other weddings. I didn't have the time or money to buy a wedding dress for a bridal store. People can call me poor but hey I did get more use out of my pink dress then I would have with a wedding gown..=)
Got to love Fashion Bug...lol

First of all if your profile was all it was said to be you wouldn't even be asking about David's bridal which by the way happen to make fine dresses and do carry some name brands. No i did not buy my dress there but I do know some that did and they were beautiful. Good luck with your marraige it isn't about what you spend or where you buy your things it is about love, trust, and respect for one another. It seems to me you may need to get your priorities in check.

Really stop pretending to be something your not. I am far from poor I was born into money, raised with more privileges then most people could dream. I married a man that was raised with money and we were given a large sum of money to start our own business when we married. We now own one of the most successful companies in our business in our tri-state area. Our kids will never have to worry about money nor will our grandchildren or great grandchildren for that matter. You putting people down proves you are not what you claim because a lady of society is taught to not look down on others or flaunt what she has (the people you see on TV are different they do it for attention).
As for your Davids bridal comment a very good friend of mine paid over 53000 for her gown and took her brides maids to David's (though Ive personally never stepped foot in one) to purchase their dresses. All 10 of their dresses. And they were very nice dresses and the wedding was beautiful and no one and I mean NO ONE said "you only paid 150 for those dresses" get over yourself. You don't have money if you didn't you would not act like this on the internet of all places, you don't have an actor boyfriend unless he's acting in a high school play or community theater and you never will. All you will do is sit online under your many IDs and be a sad human being for not having the life you dream you had
Have a good day

David's Bridal is low cost because they order in mass quantities. The more you buy, the less each dress costs. Therefore, they can sell dresses at a reduced price and still make a profit.
Not all women can afford to have a dress custom made, but they still deserve to feel beautiful on their wedding day!!

I'm not married, but I hear alot of commercials on David's Bridal. I think with all the financial strain that comes with a lot of weddings, people try to be frugal with their money. If I could purchase a similiar dress for much less at David's I know that I would instead of paying just for the name brand label.
