lol@you. Ive never seen someone use fake/silk flowers in a wedding. I know my flowers at my wedding costs us over 6 grand and that includes the flowers at the reception too. That being said I'd only assume they use them to save a TON of money and there are some very realistic looking flowers out there saw a few at hobby lobby not long ago. As for the bud beer drinking thing its a matter of taste bud is not the cheapest beer on the market. Now stop being rude I bet these are two things you do.

Even guys answering this question think you are rude, arrogant, stuck up and all out B*tchy. There are several reasons for using silk flowers that are all legitimate.
1. Silk flowers are more affordable.
2. The arrangements can be made ahead of time without wilting.
3. Florists prefer to use silk because it is quicker to assemble.
4. The arrangements do not fall apart, we in the "wedding coordinating world" have heard of the girl that just had to have fresh flowers and how her bouquet fell apart before the ceremony.
5. Silk boutonnieres are easier to pin on to the tuxes.
6. You can take them back to a florist and have an arrangement for your home made of the flowers that were at your wedding, affordable house decor and sentimental value.
7. Silk arrangements RARELY show damage in moving to venues or churches.
8. When matching particular colors silk is the way to go. Fresh flowers may be ordered one color but typically come in a shade that doesn't please the bride or groom. By then it's way too late to order more and they are stuck with flowers in the wrong color. Whereas with silk you can get them months, even years in advance and with proper dustless storage you will be totally happy with the color matching.
Please do try not to be so dang up tight...I personally prefer fresh but you know what I also prefer mustard over mayo. How many people out there hate mustard? See my point exactly.
Good luck and I hope that you find the "right" answer to your question.
P.S. Is it a rich person "thing" to use three question marks incorrectly after all of your questions? (That is how you punctuate a question correctly.)

I used fake flowers at my wedding..I don't think I am poor just because I used fake flowers..I had a quick wedding I didn't have much time to plan for it. I had like 2 1/2 to 3 weeks to plan it. My husband is in the Air Force and we had our wedding between training where he had to go out of state for a long time. I still have the flowers I had at wedding and I am very happy I went with fake flowers..if anyone has the money for real flowers the go buy some flowers but I had a small budget to work with..don't judge people by what they use for their own wedding it is what they wanted. I also didnt wear a white wedding dress I wore a pretty pink dress..once again that was due to not much money to work with and getting what I could with the money I had to work with. If anyone judges other people for fake flowers they are just stuck up and rude who cares if you are going to use real flowers and have all the money in the world to buy all real flowers.

Bud beer.. LMAO... We only drink Bud Light in my house.. Well I Don't drink it, but anyway
People use fake flowers b/c they last forever. They really aren't THAT much cheaper than the real thing. I was amazed when I saw how much my friend spent on her wedding flowers.
I still have my maid of honor bouquet sitting in a vase in my room perfectly in tact.
FYI: If you want cheap beer, then get some Milwaukee's Best.. Now THAT's CLASSY...

There are many reason for using silk flowers for weddings, If I were you... I would just buy them and save them, because with your smart a*** attitude , and sarcastic mouth, I am sure you are going to be using them over and over and over again. It is sad and pathetic that you are so rude and insensitive. No doubt you will stay single if any of your friends were to read you comments. People who are really wealthy are not like your version of a rich person. YOU my dear girl are POOR. Poor of spirit, poor of manners, poor in sensitivity, and regrettably a POOR EXAMPLE OF A HUMAN BEING.

Not always. Fake flowers are a lot more dependable (imagine all your flowers wilting before you walk down the aisle. And I've seen it happen). But they can be a lot cheaper too. Fake flowers these days can look even better than the real thing. Not my style, but hey. If you need a good cheap florist, give me a call. I only do it for enjoyment, and only charge for materials used.

I am using fake flowers because I am allergic to most real flowers and down want to be sneezing and miserable the day of my wedding. Also, as other people on here have pointed out, you get to have them as a momento of your wedding forever. There is no reason to have such an attitude about it.

Some of us have better places to spend our money as opposed to five thousand dollar flower budgets. Fresh flowers die fast and cost allot.
Study up on your poor people, everyone knows they favor PBR over Bud. (Paps Blue Ribbon) lol.

Sweetie. My sister had a beautiful wedding done with silks. She had two large vases made that served really well as decor in her home after the wedding. Oh yea, I'm a floral designer. I've done two weddings one with silk and one in live. My sister is a millionaire so don't know what to tell ya. And yes, I think there was beer.

Fake flowers are done so well now that unless you actually examine them closeup you can't tell the difference. Fake flowers are nice in that they don't require any special care in preserving them.
Your question reminds me of people who think that designer clothes are the only clothes to wear. I look at it this way. If 2 pairs of jeans are identical and one has someone's name on them who I don't even know and who could care less about me, and the other pair only costs half as much, I'm buying the cheaper jeans. Why should I make someone else rich by wearing their name on my butt? That's dumb.
