Maybe not blow up but I have watched the movie"Day at Tommorow" with admiration.
It leaves just people here for a fresh start and maybe with enough cognitive ability combined with just the right amount of "survival of the fittest" and suffering to make them realize what life is truely about.

You probably need to really sit down and have a time reading the bible my friend. From ur comment it seems like u want us all to be quitters. God is not one though.. He finishes what He starts and even thought its a long process to the fulfilling of His eternal purpose. He WILL do it. Your life and mine has so much meaning to Him and the universe declares His handywork. May our hearts be turned and unveiled by Him to see just how wonderful His creation is how we fit in.
Look at the book of revelation .. last book of the bible and u'd see a very good end.. its encouraging and i hope tha u take heart and not be so depressed my friend.

Smile a little, cheer-up, things aren't that dramatic.
The universe is ruled by laws preventing such calamities from taking place.
From time to time though it goes in re-alignment and that might be catastrophic for those not yet ready to accept new concepts and hyper-consciousness.
