Yes, the Air Force has Para-Rescue, and Combat Control Technicians. These are cream of the crop airmen in a very physically demanding job.

Yes the AF does have elite forces. PJ's And CCT's PJ's main role is to Rescue downed pilots and various other mission domestic and abroad. They are well trained dudes and do pretty much what other special operators do as far as HALO, HAHO jumps, combat divers, combat medics...ETC CCT are pretty much go behind enemy lines and set up LZ and call air strikes. We had CCT's attached to our unit in afghanistan and they do some magic calling in air stikes lol. Now days many PJ and CCTS work along with delta, rangers, marines...etc you can find them in movies like black hawk down although they were never mentioned in the movie, perfect storm, and they were even on the news rescuing those scki''s when their helo went down and tumbled several times along the side of the mountain.

There's enough info already on this, but just to piggyback.
PJ training is actually THE toughest of the special forces!! Harder than SEAL training, Green Beret training, etc. SEALS, Rangers, and other SF types even agree on this.

Para Rescue and combat controllers both are bad mother f*ckers Para Rescue are basically like the Coast guard rescue swimmers if you watch the movie Perfect Storm (true story) they show them COmbat Controllers basically look for places that we can put airstrips or LZ's

Para-Rescue is the USAF special forces group. I hear it's physical regimen is tougher than any other.

They're responsible for rescuing downed pilots or other soldiers, often in enemy territory.

If I wanted to be a smart aleck... I'd say the SGC.

But yes, the AF does have a Special Ops type unit.

the specifics of what they do will not be released for public dissemination.

Para-Rescue sounds like what you're looking for. Not as storied or well known, but every bit as tough as Rangers and Seals.

Its a secret.
They don't do nothing, sit around the hanger and send a noncom for coffee and donuts twice a day. Not much doing.
