Your funny ;) A weak immune system can be a major thing....;) This is your bodies only way to fight off germs 24 hours a day! Anyway, as for the pleurisy, yes I have gotten it several times during a flare up of Lupus,(Im 29) but people can get it for lots of reasons - infections, Rheumatoid arthritis, Lupus, caners, inhaling certain chemicals, etc...The symptoms can last long after the conidtion that brought it on has gone away...Mine usually lasts a few weeks or so and gets better once I am started on Prednisone.. As for something to worry about, of course its worrisome to feel bad, and pleurisy can cause painful breathing, short breaths, fast heartbeat, and sever pain..but those are normal symptoms so I guess the only thing I can tell you is not to worry to much only because that puts more stress on your immune system and you dont need anymore of that! I hope you feel a little bit better and try to read up about it at the Library or online and you might feel better just knowing more about the condition - Good Luck ;)

I only had it once, and I was also 19 at the time. It was very painful, so I remember it well. At the time, it seemed so odd to have it, but looking back, I can see how stressed I was. I was 19, a full-time student, had a 1 year old , was a single mom, was ony getting about 6-7 hours of sleep a day, and extremely busy all the time. A bout with pleurisy forced me to slow down for awhile.

You need to see a doctor, possibly an immunologist.
Try taking an immune booster like Immune Alert. It's all natural with no known side effects. You can get it at www.immunealert.com.

I had it earlier this year, and it scared me SO BAD. I went to the ER, because it was so bad. The doctors, however, blew it off as if it was no big deal. They always told me to apply heat to the area. I went onto WEBMD.COM, and it gave me alot of info that put my mind at ease.

hm.. good I have no idea approximately pleurisy different then a pleural is within the lungs however do not block out different viable disorders reason it fairly would be simply bronchial asthma notably if it hurts while you run... and I already do not like your health care professional... ask your mother if you'll transfer however the extreme discomfort and the truth that you feel its within the lungs makes it sound like bronchial asthma or excercise caused bronchial asthma
