I got a tattoo recently on the 3rd day I started getting like these small red water bumps around the tat. On the 5th day now they are all over it. The tat seems to be healing well there is no swelling or redness just these annoying bumps. What is this? Should I worry?

I am a red head & I am allergic to many things. My first tat I had an allergic reaction to the a & d ointment I was using. It almost sounds like a form of papular ecemea. I would go see the tattoo artist, he or she will probably tell you to go see the doctor.

Take care of that tat and don't wait.

It does sound like it might be a reaction to whatever you're using for aftercare. What are you using by the way? Keeping it clean? Certainly doesn;'t sound like an ink allergy or infection. Make sure you're applying a thin layer of aftercare product. Maybe try unscented lubriderm. Also really wouldn't hurt to visit the shop where it was done and show it to your tattoo artist. Good luck!

it sounds like a possible allergy to whatever you are using to moisturize the tattoo. when i get my back worked on during healing my skin is especially sensitive and it sometimes gets bumps which my dermatologist says is just clogged hair folicles. after the tattoo is healed it is always fine.

it does not sound like an ink allergy. i had a friend who was allergic to his ink and within an hour his whole arm was swollen and oozing so don't worry about that. it also doesn't sound infected as long as it isn't oozing and sore or swolen.

You Might of had an alergic ractionto the type of ink used.
Apply plenty of Bacitracian its keeps it both mosiurized and protected from any bacterial infections.

U may also want to see the tatoo parlor about the situation.

Hope it gets better
