Eutectic metals are typical alloys of metal whose melting point is lower than any of the constituent metal used in forming the alloy. This particular characteristic find great use in welding application of metals where metal components can be repaired/welded at much lower temperature by using an appropriate alloy so that the welding temperature can be reduced to a great extent.
