Sorry to tell you this but it is never easy to do most things in this world, not to mention loosing weight, you will loose it if you are focused and determined but that road to loosing weight will never be easy.

Make sure you are eliminating or seriously cutting back on junk foods and stuff with a lot of fat or sugar. Eat healthy but don't skip any meals, and if you can switch to a 4 - 6 meals a day plan, that's even better (your metabolism stays at a higher rate all day). Drink lots of water.

Exercise as you can. If you can get up a few minutes early and do some exercise that's great...squeeze it in every chance you get, even if it's just 10 mins here and there...try to shoot for 60 total minutes a day of vigorous activity. Park far from the store when you shop, etc...find ways to add more steps to your day.

With an up in your activity, and watching what you eat (cut your calories to around 1500 - 1800 a day) you should be able to lose most, if not all, of that 10 lbs in the time you desire.

Good luck!

It's going to be hard to lose 10 pounds by the end of June.

However, you can still lose a few by doing the following.

Cut out: crisps, chips, white bread, fried food, fatty foot like butter, cream and cheese. Creamy sauces are a no-no. That nasty coleslaw that comes in plastic containers is all mayonnaise anyway. Fizzy drinks like cola and fanta are a slow-acting poison anyway, you are much better off without these.
Cut down on: pasta, potatoes, bread (wholemeal or wholegrain only), red meat, bacon, rice, couscous, , etc.
Increase: raw vegetables - they are marvellous for cleaning you out - water, salads (use oil and vinegar for the dressing, add pesto, honey, mustard, lemon juice, for variety), fresh fruit, herbs, spices.

Try and get in a brisk walk for 20 minutes every day, if you can. It helps activate the system.

You don't have to feel hungry when you eat healthy food. Best of luck with it!

I ate under 1500 calories a day and did more exercise for about 3 months and lost 2 stone, so that works out as about 9.3 pounds a month. Have you bought your dress yet because I've gone down 3 dress sizes and you don't want t buy your dress now then find out in a month that it doesn't fit anymore. I'd suggest eating more fresh fruit and veg, I know it sounds cliched but normally I was eating some fruit for breakfast, a small lunch, and dinner, I didn't snack inbetween and stopped eating at 9pm. I drank loads of cold water as this speeds up your metabolism, ate spicy food, drank green tea, and stuck mainly to soup as this fills you up for longer. Peppermint is also meant to help suppress appetite. Also scientists have recently found out that doing exercise then taking fish oil supplements afterwards reduces body fat (and will help you concentrate more in your exams) Really you just need to find something that works for you, I didn't try any of the 'fad' diets as I found I couldn't stick to them for long, I also saw the changes in my diet as a 'lifestyle change' not a diet, as I found that I was then less likely to binge eat. Another thing you could do is keep a food diary to see how much you eat, what you eat, when you eat and what you are thinking at that time, each day this will help you identify areas of your diet that need changing (ie: too much junk food) and certain trigger thoughts and food (ie: boredom). Also don't ban any foods as this is just going to make you want them more.

Exercise

run. go for a run, often, oh and proper distances not a mile, more like 5. If you really want to lose weight run with weight, but be careful. In fact ignore the weight thing, i dont want to be responsible for you injurying yourself. run

Oh and dont run in the gym on one of those silly machines, outside in shorts and trainers. if you run 4 times a week (min) between now and then, and cut out al the sweets/pastries etc I reckon you could lose a lot of weight, but more importantly would firm and tone up.

eat lots of salads not too much dressing on them either as that has lots of fat in it also -- eat a huge salad anytime you are hungry with just a touch of dressing it would be okay --

lettuce is not fattening --

and eat fruit or veggies a lot also --

snap peas are a real good quick snack food i get them in the area where the lettuce is you just eat them raw they are crispy and crunchy and are very tasty as well

or eat like celery if you like it with just a small touch of peanut butter on it

but the thing is to eat healthy things a lot if you are real hungry
like lettuce, apples, oranges, plums etc

they fill you up for a bit and they arent fattening

drink a lot of fluids too like water and keep a strong but tasty breath mint around -- if you get hungry and dont want to eat right then or want to wait and get a salad etc -- you can just pop in a mint and that helps with staying not as hungry for just a little while at least also eat foods with a lot of salad in them like tacos -- taco salad -- you dont have to have a ton of other things in the salad to make them tasty just a tiny bit of what ever else you want in it will do there are many types of salads out there some have a touch of meat in them etc try to just eat salads for a while as well as a touch of some thing with protein in like a taco salad with a small side of refried beans

you can have treats but just keep them small

also rice is good to eat and fills you up for a bit and it isnt fattening either
