No, you have to go to control panel and go to add and remove programs, that will fully uninstall any program that they list.

Nope. If you want to uninstall a program, go into the Control Panel. You will see an Icon that says Add/Remove programs.

Scroll down through the listing on installed programs until you find the one you want to get rid of. Click on it to select it and you will get a "Remove" button. Click the button and it will uninstall the program for you.

If you simple delete the directory in which the program is located, you may not get all the files removed (they often hide files in other directories) and will not get any registry entries for that program removed. Orphaned entries like that can cause trouble down the road. So only use the "delete the directory and empty the recycle bin" as a last resort to get rid of a program.

What happens is it is still on your system but no longer in use. Windows places an upside down e in front of the file name so that it knows to disregard that file when calculating space. The file is not in use and the registry key has been removed from the registry. Some programs leave behind files in the Program files in case you reinstal the program again later so if you know what the file would look like i.e: SIMS2 would have a folder in Program files on the C drive called EA games or SIMS. If you don't want it there delete it.
To completely remove a program a group called Brightsparks has created a program called Deleteonclick. Be told though that should you choose to use this program anything you securely delete cannot be retrieved. Good luck!

If you didn;t use the uninstall option and just deleted it then no. This is becuase a program will often put system files in the Windows folders which will still be there.

The best thing to do is Start/ COntrol Panel/ Add/Remove Programs and unistall it from there. You may still be able to do this and its worth trying. Next time, do it this way from the beginning.

It's posssible. Depends if you deleted it through Add/Remove Programs or not. Also some programs come with their own uninstaller which is preferable in many cases rather than using Add/Remove Programs.

Also, in some cases, a reboot is required to complete the uninstall process.

Go to Start, Search and query your system to see if there are any other files or folders still floating around on your computer.

Unfortunatley not, you have just deleted it. There is a category within Control Panel to add/remove programs. Click on this and you will see all programs on your system. Find the one you want to uninstall and click.

no. You need to go to Control Panel and double click on Add/Remove Programs and you will be presented with a list of installed programs. Locate your program in the list, click on it and then click Uninstall

Not unless you went into add/remove programs. To do this click your start button then you should have something like Control Pannel, click on that then in the screen that comes up you can click add/remove programs. After you click this a list of programs comes up. click on the one you want to remove, at the right hand side of the screen you should see 2 options. One of them says change the other remove. Click on remove and go from there, basically tell it yes to remove.
