She can see something/somebody/somedog you can't see.

She is either "talking" to that something/somebody/somedog or ALERTING YOU to them, because she assumes you may need to know.

I have always made it my business to find out, why my dog behaves like that. Go to the window and ask her what she is seeing. If you can find out what it is, acknowledge it, tell her she is a good dog for alerting you, but everything is under control.

If she barks because somebody is crawling around under your tulips, praise her heaps and call the cops!

Trust your dog!

It looks like you've a Jack Russel terrier! Those are high-quality puppies, if i'm proper about the breed of your canine than you should be ok. Jack Russel terriers are the style of canine you could train. The done aspect is that you have got to maintain telling it to whatever over an over once more. SO subsequent time it begins barking on the train maintain it is mouth and say NO in a organization voice so it knows it is doing fallacious.

Normally a dog will bark at something strange and unusual when looking out of the window because they feel they are trying to protect the house and the belongings within that house, be it people or inanimate objects such as their bones or toys.

Sometimes it can be that they see their own reflection and think its another dog.

My Maltese X barks at herself in the TV cupboard doors.

A similar thing happens with water in a bucket, they see another dog (actually themselves) and try and bite it. They will dig and splash all the water out trying to get it. Funny to watch.

Like others have said: barking is how dogs talk. Your puppy is still learning about the world, everything is new. So he has to tell you all about it. Don't yell when he does it, because then he'll think you're barking too. Speak quietly and try to callm him. Let him know that you're interested in what he has to "say."

She probably sees something like a bird or a squirrel or a person. They bark to protect their territory mostly but sometimes when I walk around my neighborhood I wonder if they aren't just having fun

He is a puppy and puppies bark when excited. He will also try to get the attention of any probably canines down there, "Hello?, anybody down there? Im up here"
Enjoy it because they get old and weary and wont bark anymore very soon after their puppy stage. Like their humans, they will simply look down and think to themselves "Bah- same old same old" LOL.

Your dog could be frustrated and have pent up energy it's trying to release. Do you take the dog for long walks (30-45 minutes) at all?

They want to protect you and make you feel safe, they love you and whatever or whoever is out there, they might not know them or their scent could be strange, so they bark at them. They love you, and they want you to be safe. :)
