i plan to get married at a small chaple with just family members, borther, sister, mom and dad and his family the same on a Friday night (privte wedding ceremony) then saturday we are having a big dance ( mexican tradtation), ok my question is should we sever dinner since we are just having a dance or would it be fine to do snacky foods and a desseret table with the wedding cake on it?or should i have just a dessert table with fruit, cake, and maybe cookies on it?

The snacky idea + the cake later is a great idea. Seriously though it's all about YOU (and your new hubbie) and what is going to make you happy since it is your day and your memories that are being made. Just enjoy it.

Most people call it a dinner dance so maybe you should just rent tables or rent a hall with table already available and have a nice place for them to sit and eat and then dance and have some nice soft music playing while they eat . You know what they call the dinner hour . Then after everyone seems to be done eating you all can cut loose and have some rowdy music . good luck and I hope I helped. congrats on your wedding .

If you serve dinner, it will be more expensive, because you'll also have to rent tables for them to sit down and eat at. Little snacky foods can be eaten standing up. It's a dance, you want people to concentrate on dancing, not eating.

If serving drinks, heavy snacks need to be served. If not serving drinks then regular snacks would be fine. I would have a varity of fruit, cake and cookies.

i think u should have hand foods, foods that u can eat with your hands!! but its your wedding..so u can have watever u want.
