Such as money, wills, property etc to build more property in Brooklyn, when in a very short time so I keep being told, Armageddon is going to happen. Surely this means that they would have the whole of Manhatten to themselves.

Bump this you are so innocent. I bet the more knowlegable witnesses are cringing with embarassment at your answer. Your Organisation routinely asks for donations of money , wills jewelry in the Watchtower.

Seventh Day Adventists and Jehovah's Witnesses.
First Roman Catholic Bible was published at Rheims in 1582.
Second one published at Douay in 1609.
These called RCV version of Bible.
The Protestants regarded 7 books as ‘apocrypha’ (doubtful authority) and removed them from Bible. (The Book of Judith, The Book of Tobias, The Book of Baruch, The Buck of Esther, etc.)
Jesus pbuh said in the book of Revelation Chapter 22 Verse 18-19 ". . . If any man shall add to these things (or delete) God shall add unto him the plagues written in this Book."
On deleting 7 books from bible, the Catholics call ‘cult of Christianity’ to the Seventh Day Adventists and Jehovah's Witnesses.

Well first off, donations are not specificly for property, and certainly not specificly for property in Brooklyn. Also if you know anything about us, then you more than likely already know that everything we give is given freely, but with an open option of donation. Some give, some don't, but all receive. As for what the money goes towards, as I am sure you can understand, we do get the money to build Kingdom Halls, WORLDWIDE, and to make the various books we use/offer to others from donations.

In reference to your comment that the Watchtower magazing asks for jewelry, I would love to see the issue you found that in, since I have never seen it. Of course I have only been a Witness for a couple decades.

What a hunk of BULL.

There's a little donation box in the back of the Kingdom Hall for donations. If they wanted anything beyond that they would follow the example fo Christendom and put a way on the web site asking for donations. TRY TO FIND ONE.

After Armageddon, there will not be any need for the society, as the 144,000 will be governing mankind.

Are you saying that Jehovah's Witnesses have come to your door and solicited wills and property from you? Surely you are not suggesting that they came to your house, asked you for property, money and beneficiary status in your will so that they could build more property in Brooklyn?

You are very much mistaken in this. Jehovah's Witnesses do not solicit donations from anyone. Moreover, they certainly do not solicit "money, wills, property" in order to "build more property in Brooklyn." The work done by Jehovah's Witnesses is supported by small voluntary contributions - the vast majority of which comes from the Jehovah's Witnesses themselves and not from the public. It is used to support the preaching work and also for relief work after disasters in various areas.

It is true that Jehovah's Witnesses may leave property and money by means of wills to the publishing arm (the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society) if that is there wish and it is carefully explained to each of the 7 million Witnesses how to go about doing this.

As for having the whole of Manhattan to themselves, perhaps you are not aware, but quite a bit of Brooklyn property owned by the publishing arm has already been sold and quite a bit more is now on the market - even as we speak. Thus, there is no fear of them having "the whole of Manhattan" to themselves - or the whole of any other borough for that matter. As I understand it, real estate professionals in New York are quite happy about this. They intend to turn this property into luxurious condos.

Finally, in connection with Armageddon, a number of Christian denominations teach the same thing - that it is very soon. Perhaps they are reading the same fulfillment of signs as the Witnesses.

Hope this helps.

Once each year there is a single article in a single issue of The Watchtower (always November 1 issue) which reviews avenues for donating toward the work of Jehovah's Witnesses. With branch offices in about 100 lands, thousands of foreign missionaries, and the largest non-governmental inplant printing operation in the world, Jehovah's Witnesses do appreciate the donations toward their Worldwide Work.

These facts about Jehovah's Witnesses are perhaps relevant to this question. The more one compares this Christian religion with others, the more remarkable it is shown to be.

1. Jehovah's Witnesses have no paid clergy. Yet they remain tightly organized with more than 6.5 million active Jehovah's Witness preachers (about 16 million associate themselves with the religion). Even fulltime preachers and workers at their branch offices are unpaid volunteers.

2. There is no elite class among Jehovah's Witnesses. Even the few 'anointed' among them enjoy no special privileges in their congregations on earth. An anointed person (one of those relative few with a heavenly hope) is not elevated above his fellow congregants in any way, and he may not even qualify for appointment as a simple 'deacon' or elder. There are no titles; EVERYONE is addressed as 'brother' or 'sister'.

3. No person benefits economically from the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Even the 8 to 20 men who serve on their Governing Body receive simply room, board, medical care, and reimbursement for certain personal expenses according to the exact same provision as every other branch volunteer.

4. About a hundred men have served on Jehovah's Witnesses' Governing Body committee during the past 125 years or so. The vast majority of them have spent the vast majority of their adult lives volunteering for their organization's purposes, and the vast majority have died faithfully and near-pennilessly while still under their legal 'vow of poverty'.

JW do not ask for contributions, they explain that all the literature provided for the benefit of mankind is produced with contributions.
Contribution = gift or donation
Gift = something given voluntarily without payment in return.
People have the choice as to whether they choose to contribute or not, it is not something that is enforced.

The gift of contribution is all used NOT for financial gain to priests or vicars or the government etc. it is used in conjunction with Mathew 24:14 in which Jesus says "and the good news of the kingdom will be preached in ALL the inhabited earth for a witness to ALL the nations and then the end will come" As you can see the end (armageddon) will not come untill all those honest hearted people have the chance to hear Gods word and learn the truth, they then can use there gift of free will to choose what they would like to do, this is where all the contributions go. and as for stating they would have the whole of manhatten to themselves please let me refer you to another scripture Psalms 37:29 where it says "The righteous themselves will possess the earth and they will reside forever upon it"

possess = to have as belonging to one; have as property; own:

They have been to my door and never asked for a penny. They are doing what the bible tells them to do and that is spread the good word. I fact the have given me booklets and a bible and not asked me for anything in return. As for heaven being full; well they believe earth will be given back to us. We will not go to heaven. At least this is what I understand. Give them a chance to explain. I did after turning them away for years. They make more sense than you think.

That's funny. They also preach that Heaven is full. How's that for logic?

EDIT: Journey - you could also wear a patriotic shirt, and recite the Pledge of Allegiance when they arrive - they hate that, too!
