Atheism isn't a religion- it isn't an ideology. It is simply a disbelief. Are people that disbelieve in Santa in a religion too? It isn't so much that atheists want representation either, most just don't want one group more represented than an other. Most don't believe a religion should be able to tell government what to do, nor should it dictate what is taught in schools, etc. However, atheism is become a lot more "popular": "In the US, the number of non-religious people has more than doubled from 14.3 million in 1990 to 29.4 million in 2001; their proportion has grown from just eight percent of the total in 1990 to over fourteen percent in 2001. This was the greatest increase in absolute as well as in percentage terms among all religious groups." (2001 American Religious Identification Survey.)

Atheism does not endorse any ideas of hell or heaven etc so I find that a very silly thing to say! What I hate is how other religions say that it is a faith...how can it be, when they do not believe or have faith in anything? Religion is a purpose of fatih in a supernatural force, but atheists don't believe in a "supreme being" so that cancels out even being considered a religion!

You're scared, now aren't you. You poor atheists just want to be gods yourselves, but "do not have the power thereof," now do you. Don't be so gullible. Atheists are just another cult you want to be a part of so you'll fit in with a group.
P.S.: Atheists also pass around quite a huge collection plate themselves (ad revenue on atheist sites, bumper stickers, books, etc.). So, yes, it is all about the money for them as well. Don't you lie to me. I know telling lies (along with every other sin one can imagine) is now "ok" with you atheists since you are all now gods yourselves. In short---> The atheist god = the mirror. Nothing more, nothing less.

Atheism is not a religion.
Religions are based on some form of God.
Atheism is based on total absence of God.
Atheism is a belief.
This does not mean that is its not true, however. All religions currently have no proof & stand as only beliefs.

No, because atheists have no heirarchy, no power and no money made from their "religion" - they don't give a damn how many people are atheists because they don't make any money or power out of the number of "converts" - unlike every other religion.
