I was stable for a long time on my meds and I haven't changed how I take them, but I'm drifting down rather quickly now. Everyone is attributing it to the fact that I just moved into my first apartment with my boyfriend, but we're settled and I'm still getting worse.

It could be you are more stressed now....thinking about how you hope your new living arrangements will work out.
I know a few people who've been on anti depressants/anxiety for a long time but have had to either increase the med, change the meds or add another one. Sometimes people will take another type of med, for another health problem, & it's not compatible with your regular meds. Check this out if you have recently started another med. Don't let it get bad!!! See your Doc.
Try to pick yourself up...try really hard. I wish you well.

When your meds stop working then it means two things..And here is what I would say.. 1. You need to be placed on a stronger dose and all together changed to anew med. Go talk to the Doctor that placed you on the meds to start with and tell him how you are feeling. 2. You very well can be depressed. You can tell by asking yourself this question, is it my meds or am I depressed. I can not give you that answer, nor can anyone else on this board. All we can do is care and try to help by giving you some healthy advice. You have got to be the one to take action when it comes to your health. Remember you are your own best friend. Or your own worst enemy! So I hope that this helps some. God Bless you and I hope all goes well with you always!

Well, it could be you are trying to get use to a new situation, or depending on how long you have been on your meds, you could have grown immune to their potency. You may need to go back to your Doctor and discuss how often you feel like you need the meds, vs. how much you are taking. If you feel the increase desire to take more, you may have a chemical dependency that you aren't aware of, or they may just not be affective anymore. Seek a Dr.s opinion to make the right choice. I wouldn't increase the dose your self.
But please keep in mind the meds are only to ease the difficulty or coping in certain situations, not make everything better all of the time. You have to do that yourself.

Personally, I find there is a big difference between when I am down and when I am stressed. Down = Not getting out of bed all day, except to go to the washroom, sometimes eat, and maybe turn on the tv if I am having a good day. Life stress - I am mildly anxious and depressed but I can deal... I can get up and work and well, be normal lol.

Sounds like it's time for you to make an appointment with your shrink. Sometimes we get used to one dosage or med, and require another.

I don't think it's moving into your first apartment that's the cause. The boyfriend COULD be, if you have a toxic relationship, but you didn't indicate that in your question.

Hope things get better soon....

You know by asking a professional. It is not something I would ask over the internet. Try doing something that may take your mind off things and bring you to a mental state before the move. Like do something with old friends that you used to do commonly. See if that helps at all.
