ok so Americans protest to let their elected representatives know their feelings on an issue. Politicains respond to gain votes and stay in office. that is how democracy works. But if you are not represented in the government and you cannot vote, what significance is your protesting. I am not arguing for or against policies relating to immigration. I just want to know why people expect some one elses government to be effected by their protest.

American citizens have just begun what looks like a long hard struggle. Liberals are fighting us every step of the way. But we will prevail, or die trying. There is something huge ahead, I foresee civil war and anarchy. I will stand beside my brother and sister Americans and together we will drive out the invaders and America will be beautiful once more, like it was 50 years ago. NO AMNESTY!

Because the stupid government allows them to. Some of the anti-American politicians are after the illegal alien vote. The Hispanic supremacist groups had huge influence over this latest bill so who knows what they have offered the senators and congressmen.

If they win - they get other and more government assisted programs for themselves and their children. Trouble is why is our own government against the rights of it's own workers and taxpayers? Why are they more concerned with the illegals and their countries? There has to be something in it for them.

In the words of Theodore Roosevelt

From the melting pot of life in this free land all men and woman of all nations who come hither emerge as Americans and nothing else. They must have renounced completely and without reserve all allegiance to the land from which they or their forefathers came. And it is a binding duty on every citizen of this country in every important crisis to act solidly with all his fellow Americans, having regard only to the honor and interest of America, treating every other nation purely on its conduct in that crisis, without reference to his ancestral predilections or antipathies. If he does not act, he is false to the teachings and lives of Washington and Lincoln; he is not entitled to any part or lot in our country and he should be sent out of it. (Theodore Roosevelt, "The Children of the Crucible" New York, Sept. 9, 1917)

And since our politicians are only acting for their own interest - I believe that they too are not entitled to any part or lot in our country and s/he should be sent out of it.

Because it would do them no good to protest in Mexico. The Mexican government doesn't give a s**t. If they did, they would do something about it. Instead, they print pamphlets explaining the best way to cross the border.
