I already have an adapter for Using US (2 prong plug) electrical equipment, would this be suitable to use or would i need something different?

That should be fine. I brought some Australian equipment to the UK and just used an adapter and it was fine. The voltage is similar. But the US voltage is quite different at 120V I believe.

Here in Australia our electical plugs are 2 or 3 prongs so if you are not willing to get an electrician to change it to a UK plug you will need to buy an Australian adapter. (US plugs are different to Australian plugs anyway i think). I have an adapter from when I travelled to the UK (aussie to uk) and I think it only cost me about $10-15 (about 5-8 pounds).

Nothing required, best to cut off the ozzie plug and fit a UK type.
