I am getting married in three weeks and have been attempting to make my own table centres on a very low budget. The colours i am using are red (roses), ivory and gold. The plan was to have a single rose in a tall glass bud vase sat on a candle plate surrounded by candles and glass pebbles...I tried it last night and it didn't quite look as expected. Have trawled the internet for inspiration and am still left a little stumped. Can anyone help?

Maybe a small square mirror, and a little clear bowl with floating candles and use rose petals sprinkled on the table. Also, There are some vases that are kind of square shaped. You can put these on the the bridal tables and put your bouquet and your bridesmaids flowers in. Keeps them fresh and makes a nice centerpiece. All these things I found at Walmart so that helps with the cost. Good luck!

The height of your center piece sounds good but the candle plate is likely on the smaller side and makes the whole display look too small on a large table. I raid my yard for foliage to green up my table for all sorts of occasions. Cut about three smallish pieces for each table. ( 8 to 12 inches each) I use ivy, heavenly bamboo and have even cut small leaf bunches from fruit trees such as apple, fig or cherry. I've cut whole boughs from the rose bushes for a buffet table. Silk or real petals would add some color and depth too. Natural materials can be lightly coated with gold spray paint to fit into your theme.

i think you should just use the candles and the glass pebbles. you could get some pretty red ribbon and tie it around the candles. so you would have the red in there with the ivory and gold. (im assuming thats what color the candles are)

a small vase with maybe some gardenias (they are ivory) and white and red roses ...they smell great and are not too bulky...actually if i can suggest something, dont have anything too big. They look nice but its so hard to have a conversation with someone with a big bush in the way. and yes candles are also a great idea. there are some that float in water. those are adorable. good luck!!

What about trying the same pieces only with different color candles or different color glass pebbles ? you know like you could have a white (ivory ) candle and red ribbon with red and white glass pebbles mixed . I find that sometime mixing colors comes out better . good luck and congrats on your wedding .

Okay here's something my sister did for her reception and everyone thought it was lovely. You get a big glass bowl or bowls of different sizes and fill with water half way up and float lit candles inside of them. They made things look romantic which was good since it was outdoors. You can buy kits for this or buy individually somewhere like WalMart for cheaper. You can probably also float roses too, but just the heads.

Put the glass pebbles within the backside of the vase, then fill with coloured water I might use yellow water to deliver the gold appear. Them positioned a few ribbon across the vase one wider than the opposite colour. Use the Ivory first then use a skinny ribbon of gold to move over it middle the gold over the ivory ribbon. I might scorching glue this on in order that it's going to keep then take and make slightly card together with your names and date of the marriage ceremony and tie it directly to the vase in order that every person will take into account the occasion and it may be used once more for one other party, or for extra flora. And I might positioned a few curled up ribbon at the desk surrounding the candles and the vase. additionally you could attempt to upload a few ivory or yellow flora in with the rose. or exchange ivory with yellow flora. one with a pink rose and a yellow flower, then the following one would be a pink rose with an ivory or white flower. that might be lovely too. exceptional of good fortune and God bless you each for your marriage ceremony day. I did whatever like for my marriage ceremony and all people favored it.
