I have no problem with the "west" or with its "culture". In fact I live here in the WEST and am very much a part of this culture. I was born here. I belong here. There is nothing wrong with me being here. I am an active and dedicated citizen, I vote, pay taxes, volunteer, encourage the good etc, etc, etc.
So, I happen to be a Muslim. So what?
If you want to divide the world into 2 clubs, if you want to call it the "Christian West" and the "Muslim & other East", or the "good guys" and the "bad guys", you are the one who is creating the problem. Not me.

I am Muslim and my family as well. We don't have problem with the western culture at all. We believe it is the diversity God makes in this world so why to have any problem??
some people from both cultures (eastern amd western) have problem with the other culture, this is because they are not open- minded towards other way of life. So it just needs to keep our minds open about how do other people think and want to think. Simple yea??
Peace

This is a big misconception, many Muslims enjoy western culture etc. The only problem many Muslims have with western governments is their foreign policies, of screwing other countries to get what they want.
But look throughout the Muslim countries, they watch Hollywood movies, they buy western products buy western cars.
There are some things we disagree with but we understand that this is your culture.

Worldly life is of very short span, and the life of hereafter is Eternal.
Muslims sacrifice the lustful desires of this short life, that is just like to stay at a platform of a Bus-station, the real destination is the hereafter.
What if a person makes himself busy at plate form in unnecessary things and miss the bus or train, the actual objective that will lead to his/her destination.
There is difference of the choice of priority either the worldly life or Eternal life of hereafter, is the main contradiction in Muslim and the Western culture, creates problems.

It's not that, it's just that the Islamic countries have suffered from occupation, colonization and oppression for over a 100 years, 1.5 Million Algerians died for their country's independence, many thousands also died for the same cause in lybia and Syria, Belfore's promise to Give the Jews (in 1917) a homeland in the Place of an arab country didn't help either.

Who says that?
Muslims do not think like that. It is the state policies, false media which always attacks and presses Muslim world for their dirty agendas!
Most Westerners do not agree with wrong policies.
Don't you see strikes in Europe where people fight for peace, harmony and justice.
Plz. have a browder view of life!

If they choose to live in a western enviroment, i think they should accept and adapt to some western cultures. I think our goverment has made a lot of contributions for us, i.e maybe we should be a bit more appreciative.
