What is your favorite color? Or,what color signals to you it's time to relax, watch TV, listen to music, etc.?
Black and white are good basics - about as neutral as you can get. If the room is small to medium size, paint it a light version of your chosen color [ say leaf green to kelly green ].
If the room is large, you can go brighter or darker [ emerald green to hunter green ].
If you add some zebra print pillows and cushions, black frames on pictures and posters, some iron [ candlesticks ]
and white or ivory accessories [ candles, lampshades ] any bold color would look good!
favorites for black/white combo:
ruby red
orange
lemon
emerald green
sapphire blue
bright teal
bright purple
caramel

properly to start with, the room you have defined would not extra wholesome right into a cabin topic. Are you attempting for Patriotic? i'm able to't seem to get a stable carry close on what you're going for. crimson, white and blue jointly sounds somewhat extra cutting-edge and a extra cutting-edge furnishings layout could be a larger %.. The leather-based could artwork in a cabin seem or for a extra previous international seem. wish this helped somewhat.

well you have some good basic colors, so pretty much anything will work with them,

sky blue , aqua blue - green , maroon , purple , mauve , pale yellow ( although i would get tired of bright canary yellow, you may like it) different shades of green ( although i wouldn't get too dark for walls in any color cause then you have to have a lot of lights on to see, its better to go with lighter shades that will work better with the lighting )

i listed just a few colors, but like i said pretty much any color you like, if you like roses you could paint walls a light mauve color and do trim in a light green - like leaves,

if you like a variety of colors you could paint each wall differently *smiles , it may sound silly to some, but people now days paint the walls with stripes, circles, make them look like clouds, ( which i would love) , basically whatever strikes your fancy,

if you want to keep a certain theme through out your house, say you love the grapes with leaves patterns, you can do that too, and you can buy wall paper trims for edging , tops of walls, etc...

hope this gives you some ideas,

oh and they have paint mixing to where you can get pretty much any shade of color ,
